@@kimberlygiacometti6041 Michael Jackson was the complete opposite of Tom Pretty. Completely choreographed, completely lip-synced, and just a horrible show. Prince was much better than MJ, but still fell short of Tom Petty, IMO. EDIT: OK, OK, Prince fans, I just went and rewatched the Prince halftime show, and while I like the Tom Petty songs better than Prince's songs, you got me...Prince's halftime show was indeed better than the Tom Petty Super Bowl halftime show. Prince was just electric during the entire halftime show, and my gosh what an entertainer he was. He ripped on the guitar, sang, and moved all over the stage, all while wearing platform shoes on the rain soaked stage. Gotta finally give him his props for the best halftime show ever. My apologies for questioning you guys.. 👏👏👏

Had the honour of showing up to Petty's Hyde Park gig in 2017. The Lumineers and Stevie Nicks were supporting. It was unbelievable. For a huge outdoor gig, it felt so intimate. The only time I've ever cried upon hearing that somebody i never knew personally had passed away was when this legend died just a few months later. Rest in peace, Tom. You'll still be on the stereos long after we've all joined you in paradise, mate 🍻🤘

There is something about his voice and the emotion he offered up this performance, pouring himself into these songs at this venue that catches me like a quick stab of melancholy. He's pouring out every bit of heart and soul in this performance. If I hear one of the songs from this night, I recognize it out of all the other performances. It's so effortless and sincere and masterful and loving and humble. It feels like he's just truly touched to be there. American Girl becomes more of a favorite the older I get. I just love this performance. He's telling the fans, I love you, and I think he felt it returning like a tidal wave back over him. Tom is one of the best, it still hurts that he's gone. I love his story telling and his voice and music his wit, and his ability to lay bare the most vulnerable emotion you could never put into words, and he does it with seeming ease. Thanks for this diamond, Tom Petty, and the rest of the Heartbreakers.

I just saw Petty the other month, and the guy was so humble. Almost every time the crowd cheered he thanked the crowd, and with a smile. I've been to a lot of concerts over the years and never saw anyone so gracious.
