What a beauty of an instrument! Great tunes! :) I bought an octave mandolin a few months ago, and have been composing on it, though I've mostly been writing Bach-inspired arpeggio-esque pieces, and a bunch of slower, strummy tunes. I'm trying to work on composing and playing melodies like this, though! Your song is definitely inspiration! :)

The instrument above should be a mandoliola (mandolin and mandola hybrid) or simply called "liola" due to having a low C string.
