The anti Christ, anti Gospel discussion on apparently acceptance of homosexuality, their so called marriage relationship, women priests and women deacons, anti TLM, even the silence of so many bishops, the political environment in the Vatican, etc has really affected our peace, our faith, confidence in our shepherds, our conscience, our trust in the deposit of faith, etc. It’s going to be extremely difficult to continue what Church, priest is 100% faithful to the Church Christ founded and left us on Peter. Every day I pray to remain true to Christ and to His Church.

G-d established the Church with a visible head, first St. Peter who walked with Christ, and for the last two thousand years, there has been an unbroken line of succession in the papacy (which is probably something miraculous in itself), starting from St. Peter, and now in the present day, represented by Pope Francis. The bible was compiled by the Catholic Church, as an aid to the Faith. Worshipping the bible as though it were some divine oracle, is akin to idolatry. Pope Francis may be making some decisions that are surprising. But by faith, we know that the Holy Spirit assists the Magisterium. We need to trust the Holy Spirit. We need to trust the Magisterium.

Raymond, you don't like Pope Francis the Great, so this influences your judgment of anything he does. I've heard you say that the Synod is a waste of time. My reading of Jesus is that "where two are three are gathered in my name, I am there. " The secrecy provision is while the Synod is going on so that people like yourself can give false reporting and exaggerate false reporting. St. Phoebe of St. Paul was a female Deacon, probably appointed/ ordained by St. Paul an Apostle. The same word describing her ministry is the same word that described St. Stephen, diakonos.

I think we probably have to accept that between America and Latin America, there is a great deal of prejudice. And that prejudice might be described more broadly as a prejudice between the Latin world and the Anglo or Germanic world. The cultures between these two worlds are different. There are geopolitical differences between these two worlds. And the Church has mentioned through the Magisterium the problem of racism, as recently as during the time of Pope Francis. While no one generally admits that they're racist, we can evidence racism through the decisions we make and the words we speak, whilst not openly saying we're racist. Subconsciously, we have a tendency to favour our own culture over those of other cultures. We must accept Pope Francis who hails from the Latin-American world. He may do things differently to what we are used to in our Anglo/Germanic cultures and world, but he has been anointed by G-d as our shepherd and leader, and we should honour him with respect even if we disagree with specific decisions he makes. We can't see the bigger picture, and as the laity, our vocation is more in the secular world, than in the spiritual world. Pope Francis' vocation is in the spiritual world, and he has dedicated his life to it, so maybe he knows some things that we don't know and don't realise: maybe we need to trust a bit more.

@@stanleyianieri5747 I don't know whether the Holy Spirit chose him as pope, but I do believe that G-d has blessed, and continues to bless the choice made. Most people probably don't realise the cultural baggage they carry. We all carry biases and cultural biases. We who are in the Anglo culture, will find it hard to understand truly the Latin American culture. Just because Pope Francis might do things differently to an Anglo-cultural approach, that doesn't mean that different approach is wrong.

@@stanleyianieri5747 is that just your personal opinion/faith, or can you point somewhere in the Church's teaching where it says that? What you are saying is that the conclave that elects a new pope, is preserved from error, in a kind of miraculous way. I prefer to think that the elected pope receives blessings to help them be pope, but that the pope elected isn't necessarily the best choice, or you might say, the Holy Spirit's choice. Jesus (G-d), did choose St. Peter, but in contrast, a conclave chose the pope. No matter what, I do think we have a good pope.
