I'm in the Archdiocese of Chicago, there is 1 Church allowed to do TLM (It's the Church I go to). It pays more into the Diocesan assessment than even the home Cathedral does. The attendance dwarfs every other Church. "Impoverishes" indeed...

My family and I were at Mass on Easter Sunday, at our Parish in Augusta GA, shortly after the Passion of the Christ was released. The Masters Golf Tournament was in play over that weekend. During the Sign of Peace at Mass, my family turned to extend Peace to the parishioners behind us, and low and behold, Jim Cavesel, likely in town for the Tournament, was there in that pew. Talk about a Mass minute to remember; Easter Sunday; The Passion of the Christ release, and the man who brought the reality and agony of Christs passion strikingly to our psyche, sitting right behind us.

I am a woman, and do not think women should be deacons or Priest. It is a Woman Loved by the Father , Son and Holy Spirit, a Woman most can move the Heart of God, Mary, she is cherished By God, she is who woman should aspire to be like. The Clergy should not give a blessing outright to same sex couples but rather an invitation to each person individually to the sacrament of Confession. So that after giving an absolution, the said clergy can bless the individual not the couple. Thus avoiding the impression by eyewitnesses that a blessing is being given to the couple. Under no circumstances should any blessing be given to a same sex couple together holding hands etc. It should always be done individually (with an invitation to Confession!).

Fully agree that sovereign nations have the fundamental right to manage immigration into their respective country. Seems to me that the friction point is allowing the fundamentals of Catholic teaching on feeding, clothing, sheltering those in need once the migrant is in the country and either deported or granted asylum / citizenship. El Paso TX and Annunciation House here has been caught in the middle of the Texas Attorney General suing Annunciation House and Satellite shelters caring for the migrants our country, like it or not at this point, invited them here and trampled our own laws to make it happen. The church isn’t responded to who or how they arrived, but rather the Church in El Paso, in partnership with many faith centered organizations, is doing the work of the Gospel for people who were invited here under false pretenses and left to fend for themselves once here; being used as political pawns for the Liberal element of our regime, with the notion of their votes being Democrat, once the regime forces that on us. The Bishop of El Paso did a great job making that case without commenting on the politics but rather the reality that they’re here and must be cared for, and that’s what the Church is called to do by Christ himself. I hope that is the source of the Popes focus and priority for the Church, versus encouraging migration from one bad place to inevitably create a new awful place at the end of the migration trailhead. Look at what we, the US, is becoming. That’s not why the migrants came here in the first place in many many (most) cases. They didn’t know what they were buying into when they left for the US. Many will have buyers remorse once the totalitarian / communist / socialist (which they left) are fully in place. We have Chinese and Korean and former Soviet Bloc immigrants who are attesting to that. Ironically, there is no place for the Church in those “isms” based on history’s proof.

Jesus is the great architect of the universe, for He is the Creator in the second person of G-d, the Most Holy Trinity. Am I missing something? The right to religious freedom is not only something that concerns non-Catholic religions, but also applies within the umbrella faith of Catholicism, in the sense of diversity of religious belief and expression that builds upon the foundation faith of Catholicism, such as for those of the Latin Mass persuasion. The greatest human creature who ever lived was a woman, the Blessed Virgin Mary. If we have a male successor of St. Peter, and Jesus the 'priest', perhaps we need a female successor to Mary, who in a sense took the place of Jesus in the upper room, on the day of Pentecost.

The Latin mass is NOT "ancient worship" -- none of the Original Church spoke Latin or had Latin masses -- the Latin mass was instituted centuries later. *If you truly want to speak the language of the "ancient/original" church, then instigate a GREEK or HEBREW mass.* Or even better, just speak the mass in the language that the congregation understands as the Apostle instructed in 1Corinth 14. *Stop bickering over a language.*
