An NBA player has just launched a new basketball sneaker and it features a Bible verse. Jonathan Isaac plays for the Orlando Magic. His first sneaker is called Judah 1. The back of the shoe features a reference from Saint Paul's Second Letter to the Corinthians. The passage is from the 4th chapter and 9th verse, which reads "persecuted but not abandoned. Struck down... but not destroyed." The founder of DLE Agency and Achilles Public Relations, Sports Agent Doug Eldridge, joins to share whether this is significant that there is now a sneaker worn by an NBA player with a Bible verse in the design. He tells us what he makes of the release coming from UNITUS, a relatively new clothing brand founded by Jonathan Isaac rather than a more recognized sports apparel company like Nike or Adidas. Eldridge explains what the reaction has been so far and where he sees this going. Reports say Isaac initially only wanted to wear the shoes himself rather than selling them. Eldridge fills us in on what he would say to someone who might accuse the NBA player of trying to make money off of his Christian faith.
