Sr. Josephine was born and raised Baptist in Houston, Texas. She earned a bachelor’s in politics from the University of Dallas, and shortly thereafter entered the Catholic Church. Sr. Josephine served in the banking industry for 10 years as a Vice President. In 2011, she began her religious formation with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. She is a nationally certified and licensed counselor, specializing in trauma and the treatment of children and adolescents and serving as a Catholic school counselor in Tyler, Texas. A board member of the Laboure Society and Life Teen, she is also the author of Hope: An Invitation and host of the Hope Stories podcast.

I watched this earlier! This woman is beautiful! And I’m thankful to Jesus that she’s a sister and made it out to this once in a life time event! I’m only 37 years old and it’s the first time I’m watching this Eucharistic congress!’ I was told that the last time this event happened in the 1960s when JFK was elected to presidency! Well, I also wanted to say I truly hope to see this event again one day, hopefully soon! I truly loved all the speakers including mother Olga of Iraq, man she was just out of this world! Sister said so much in this talk. We need to take heed. This is the second talk where a powerful Black sister adresses and exhorts/admonishes her bishops-Soon to be cannonised Sister Thea Bowman in the 90's. She has a prohetic word for erveybody in the church here and I find it nourishing. Calling everyone to repentance is not just the job of the ordained priest but of all us baptised into the priesthood of the faithful as the Bible says. We need more preachers like Sister Josephine.

The Lord Jesus came to me on a hike about 25 years ago. I’ve been walking closely with Him ever since. I’m still a mess, but Gods Spirit is in me and has completely transformed every part of me. Physical, mental, Spiritual, Emotional…whatever make me up. I was excited to hear from this Sister, because I hear the Spirit of this same God in her words. Don’t give up! This is real, and Jesus is alive and has come for the rejected, brokenhearted, and anyone who knows it’s impossible to live a great life without Him.

Yes, thank you, Sister Josephine. I encourage myself to repent which helps me relieve my burden of guilt, shame, and sin. The blessing of reconciliation helps me grow in my relationship with God.
