in q16, you can also do a7 - a5 = 12, it will bring the same result as d = 6.

The formula is an = a+(n-1)d Here a = we dont know d = we dont know But we know 3rd term is 16 from the question So a3 = a + (3-1)d a3 = a + 2d 16 = a + 2d (as third term or a3 is 16) Hope it helps
