kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmeXk6SZqLySnZI its the video of jimin's dance I love most.
@kerryholland48224 жыл бұрын
As someone who trained in contemporary, it meant so much that these boys brought it onto the main entertainment stage. Introducing a more pure example for the public also with the alternative music video. I agree with all your points, also them going barefoot is brave because that can be the place where it can be easy to look unclean as it takes years of training to get just a decent looking pointed foot and even a lot of professional street dancers can’t point their foot with the right technique, they struggle. Respect to these lads.
@Koko3op4 жыл бұрын
Agreed!
@marshmart9654 жыл бұрын
Oh really? I just knew about the pointed foot here. Well, I was impressed with BTS...always. It's been 6 years but my respect to them has increased day by day.
@kerryholland48224 жыл бұрын
marsh mart yeah, street dancers work in sneaks and the style doesn’t train to articulate the feet like in contemporary. It takes years of training to get the foot flexible and strong enough to be able to perfect a dancer’s pointed foot, you cannot do it naturally. Just compare a professional pointed foot to anyone trying it. Same with a straight leg, you can’t achieve a dancer’s straight leg automatically, it’s VERY different a ballet straight leg than to another dancers kind of straight leg

Black swan's lyrics are based on an artists/ dancers shadows and the Martha Graham quote 'A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing and this first death is more painful.' BTS are basically singing about their fear of loosing their passion for music. RM wrote the lyrics.

i keep coming back to the thought that mots:7 wholly as an album, era, enormous project was supposed to be the group's final masterpiece before hoping off to the military. before the covid ruined _everything_. only with time and confessions did i understand the gravity of their situation at the time, if I'm being honest. and man, does it hurt. the story in this album of an artist losing their drive, the focus on hardships of their journey, the layers & layers of little 7s crying out loud to the world their bond. the grandest stadium tour never happened. entirety of Connect, BTS project was so unique. SO much was put into this album, it's insane. if only the time was generous.

@Maraaha554 жыл бұрын
Thank you for looking at Black Swan. I think that it has really not have the attention it deserves but in the future it will become a classic. You mentioned " how well trained they are", but the only one with ANY training in contemporary dance is Jimin, who was top in his class at school. ALL the others are experienced dancers, who have been dancing for more than 7 years, but NOT like this. To see these men perform like this, with not only the control but a real understanding and expression, you cannot help realising just how hard they WORK. When they were preparing a new piece it was common for them to practice 12 to 16 hours a day. Now they ahve more experience, and muscle memory is almost natural for them, they say they probably prep 10 or so hours a day. However, I believe that in order to really master this dance they probably had to put in more like the early 16 hours a day. And we've already been told that Jin, who struggles to learn new routines, actually started his practice a few days before the others. I'm making a point of looking at the dance work of more KPop boy bands (I'm not a fan of the 'dance' of female idols, which - even though they are beautiful women - seems more like serial posing to me, though I know I may be harsh on them). The only band I have seen come close to BTS for being precise and clean, carrying the extension to the end of every digit and placing the weight and intention perfectly first time each time, is StrayKidz. The work ethic is massive throughout KPop (we in the west have not go at CLUE), but BTS' is truly second to none.

@@fay-mSOPEfan62 HaLLO, my friend! Yes I love watching certain reactors, and have done so for ages now. Some feel like real friends, though I;m sure they don't recognise me among the hoards of ARMY! I also like many different styles of dance, so, of course a ballet and modern dance perspective is really sound! Have you explored other KPop - Stray Kids for example? I focus almost exclusively on BTS as you probably do to, but I've seen one or two tracks of theirs with very sound dance!

OH, I would love to see you react to Black Swan' Art Film performed by MN Dance Company.
