It’s interesting how you said that it reminded you of a musical. Because ever since their debut, many have dubbed them as the theatre kids of kpop. The way they are able to incorporate all their members into the different formations and scenes are really musical-like. A fan favourite of musical Seventeen would be Pretty U and Snap Shoot. Pretty U was kind of the first song that really solidified Seventeen as the “musical” group if you will. It had a bunch of acting, along with choreography and they even got to fit in a sofa as a prop. Snap Shoot meanwhile was released in 2019 and really brought back memory of their more playful, debut days such as Adore U and Mansae. I think in one word, Snap Shoot is like a playground. Everyone’s having fun and it sounded very much like a childhood song.

lili veliz Agreed. Seventeen’s end of year performances has never missed. They always pull out all the stops and each award show unique, which is what I really like about them. The songs are remixed or made into a different version like that Home Christmas ver, or there’s new choreography like the one for MAMA, or sometimes they just release a new song altogether. Like Heaven and Getting Closer, both were first revealed in MAMA 2017 and 2018 respectively iirc. They’re also not bound with their title tracks and always perform other B-sides too. This year’s The Fact Music Award practically consisted of 2 B-Sides and a Japanese title track! They’re THAT confident with their discography. And rightly so.

The uniqueness of 17 is how the utilize their members in dance formations. They truly use their bodies to tell a story and form shapes. The hand movements create such motion as well. "Heaven" ft Nu'est, "Don't Wanna Cry", "and "Fear" each have such amazing choreography.

dk has like that one line to sing besides the chorus towards the end but still manage to execute the line so beautifully and make it memorable. i think the song could be better, same goes to the wardrobe selection but the choreo is everything
