I think when you come from the other side of society and have spent time associating or living life with serious people, its difficult to assimilate to the normal world. A world where people don't mean what they say. And even if they use serious words, they don't actually follow through on what they say. Its hard to learn you don't need to treat everything like a real threat anymore.

It’s a massive issue and only getting worse. I worry about my 11 & 12 year old kids and what online bullying can do to people. I teach my kids as much as I can and have always taught them to treat people well online as you would to their face. It’s very easy to be a prick online when there are no consequences for your behaviour.
