Sadly I tried counseling for a couple things in my lifetime. From my experience, many seem to be of no help and create more issues. One was a marriage counselor and he told my wife I probably cheated on her throughout our marriage and prior?? Anyway nothing compared to these poor people but support many counselors just aren’t good. Sadly it gets expensive trying to try them out to see which one may be beneficial

I suspect the LDS church was getting kickbacks from Jodi. If there is one constant with the LDS church hierarchy, it’s love of money. However, I’m not sure a state level court in Utah can be fair and hold the church accountable.

it would be interesting to look statistically at what percentage of couples had their marriages saved and what percentage had their marriages ruined. By separating couples she was lilekly undermining the relationship, causing them more stress and needing more of her 'counseling'. It was an ingeneous scheme to keep couples in ditsress and pay for more of her services. At the same time as these marriages were creating income for her, they believed that they were doing the right thing to strengthen their relationionships.
