On 5/25/24 at approximately 1:00 AM, La Mesa Police responded to a restraining order violation at the 7000 block of Eastridge Drive. According to the homeowner he was awoken to the loud sounds of glass breaking and saw his ex-girlfriend breaking his car windows outside. The homeowner immediately called 911. He stated La Mesa Police arrived minutes later and directed units to a field where she ran towards across the street. Air support arrived shortly after and units setup a perimeter. San Diego Sheriff’s also assisted with K9 to help search the area. After roughly 30 minutes, the search was called off. I spoke with the home owner and he’s stated this has been an ongoing issue, she’s broken into the house, damaged vehicles before, even has females visit his place of business. La Mesa Police were still canvassing the area, as the suspects vehicle was still parked across the street as we left the neighborhood.
Editors note: We typically do not cover restraining order cases (domestic violence) due to privacy, but the homeowner gave us consent cover the story.
