I found Fete to be a great speaker and through his lived experiences has really got alot he can pass on. As tough as he was and still is I do see the warm loving family orientated polynesian side of him coming out in this video which was nice to see. Wishing Mr Taito a full life with lots of LOVE.

@@FAMBAM_AUS exactly, the parents that still think spare the rod, spoil the child will meet the ultimate parent one day and I didn't mean won't cut it, he is forgiven, but the house master and their rasist friends are not,🤮🤣

Knew Feets when I worked in A and B Block in Pare. Always a good dude. Always respectful. Dude talks no shit. Kept the trouble makers in line for us that's for sure lol. The part where he says "If you know you can't do another lag, that's when it's time to get out." These bullshit political rehabilitation programmes don't work. If you know, you know.

Another great vid Dave! I relate to the interview. Koori mob is the same! Brothers have to stick together. Aboriginal fullahs have the same problems. We have to unite the community! Awesome as usual brother 🤎💪🏾

i did my time in lower hutt epuni boys home green as they come. I was 12 and a half years old at the time the only one from Maraeanui Napier there at the time. You know the thing about it was i was going up on a charge of stealing 13 cars all in one night 12 and a half years of age got three months in Epuni boys for my troubles i didn't care at the time all i did was run away from home but i didn't know about the stolen cars until years later when they showed me the charge sheet in the Christchurch district court, i could'nt believe wow that sucked any how i made Christchurch my home for the past forty odd years got kids and they got kids i don't regret doing time for something i didn't do it gave me a chance to see the rest of new zealand the south island is a beautiful and native part of the country i left my past behind me and got me a new begining a new whanau

All I care about is if you're happy. The issues with NZ as a people is our inability to ask if anyone is happy where they are now and you seem like you're content with where youre at. If not, then I apologise but if so then ka pai you 👌

What beautiful example that change is possible for even the most effected people with a life time of oppression ive been for myself tring to find someone that i would feel they'd understand me and isnt just their to pay their bills(nothing wrong with that either) but have pure passion for the work they do on a daily bases i havent got a story as ruff as him but i totaly understand living day to day with weight of growing up in unhealthy, violent substance abuse and just everthing negitive in general ut weighs you down restricts you of doing many things expecting the worse of everthing and everyone.... just want to say ive been humbled by the mahi this extraordinary man is doing and the all other people involved i hope to be someone that can do mahi like this for our people in my future. Thank you for your mahi your doing for our people 🙏🙏🙏❤❤

I remember when a bunch of skinheads moved into our neighbourhood in Newton on the cnr of Virginia ave and Takau st. They attacked a couple of KC members, one of them took off and came back with a gang KC members. Our parents were yelling at us all to get inside 😂. Long story short, we never saw those skinheads again 😅

hey I wasnt going to say anything until you said you slept under the Grafton Bridge in auckland. I was one of those street kids. I got off a bus in Greenlane and some KC's hooked up and we caught the bus back to Auckland and went down to wizards. I also used to sleep in the abandoned carpark in Aotea Square. They called me Hastings I also remember we ate at Rickys cafe on K rd. And have sunday lunch at the white church mission in Mt Eden Rd. Listening to you brings back so much memories I probably met you Fete I remember going to Ponsonby for a feed at someones house. The Islanders fighting on the K Rd Bus stop bridge when the pubs closed. Rolling people at Myers Park the huge drop by the time they got to the bottom they were dazed. Kia Ora Bro good to hear some good memories. I was living on the st's at 15 so that was 1980 when I ran away from my foster home. Thanks Bro Kia Kaha. Edit: Sorry bro I also remember chasing those skinheads in Auckland with you Island boys chased him into a bar.
