Good to hear a positive story, my son Cain Dunning is still in prison, got 7 years on his first sentence, got shot twice by police on parole and is back inside. Finished his first sentence and now has 4 more years for the shooting with police. I'd love to see him on here one day when he gets released. He's out of Max and in Ron Barwick prison now (Tasmania). I'm praying this time he will be able to turn it all around🙏

Bro you gotta ask some better questions straight up, what was his first time like in prison? why did he kee heading down the path of crime? You didn’t even ask any questions about the glue sniffing r*** incident , that could’ve been a really interesting story bro cmon

Could not believe I was in a cell next to a boneyard mafia rapest in Charlotte shouldn't mix protection with gen pop even tho I hear people go back n forth these days, Charlotte was my introduction to prison after some crap happened day 1 in my unit, being tipped from Charlotte port putrid to MRC, felt like I was released n the boys were pretty fucking helpful and solid.

I suffer from PTSD and a former addict. I am finding it hard to ground myself or anchor myself and move on with life and go back to work. It's difficult to make that step. I don't know what I am afraid of but I am fearful. Weird ay 🙏

Sad, I remember in the 80's when Clendon was first built. The company I worked for had a menswear store there. It was clean and full of young couples who were buying their fist homes. I the 90's I worked in a small paintshop in Southmall and lived on Weymouth Rd and also in Beaumonths Way (ext) ... By the end of the 90's you could feel the decline. The area was changing. I bought a house in Papakura, and finally left and moved to Australia. South Auckland as a whole was great growing up. But looking at it now. I couldn't live there, not for the poverty, as I too had nothing back in the day. It's housing is damp, cold and full of mould. New Zealand as a whole is in a ressesion. Economically it's better in Australia (more oppertunities)

Love your content brother, I know its hard but can you keep the swearing in these. It just makes the words hit home harder. Otherwise they get to boring and unrealistic like were watching Sons of Anarchy. Gotta learn to pronounce Maori too straight up that is shocking

I grew up in Whakatane, and as a teenager, I used to do the milk run around Awatapu in the late 80's. My mate got bashed and robbed doing the milk run, and the guy that assaulted him did it as an initiation to join the black power. Is there still an initiation process to join the black power today?

❤ Hi Gloria. Finally people can both hear true stories and read true story books that are not forbidden to be published. When abusers are alive, the healing is a journeying through fear, too. Thank you for taking the risk, to tell your true story. I believe in miracles, too.

Thanks for sharing your life story to the world. What you said it seems like your step father was a white supremist. Before the 1960's white supremacy in NZ was very common which stemmed from British colonization- That meaning of stealing land from the natives and destroying their culture and making them 2nd class citizens. How did your mum end up with a step dad that disowns islanders and Maoris and because your mum is an islander herself. I'm Maori on both sides. I did time in jail but i was opposite to you i did not like gangs and rather stay in segregation with neutral people. White racism still exists in NZ but at much lower scale to the way it used to be
