Note also that in the synoptics, Jesus addresses a more general audience, in John they are more intimate revelations (John 14:22 (Judas (not the Iscariot) said to him): Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said to him: He who loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.)) It is also quoted in the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 9: 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government is upon his shoulder; and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.) Jesus is none other than God himself (Philippians 2:6) (John 1:1), and our affirmations are not only kept in scripture, but also by the preaching and succession of the apostles, which gives us contemporary testimony of Jesus Christ , and we have that witness in what we believe and say about the Lord. However, I would like you to be able to find a single witness, or historical source contemporary to Jesus that would affirm the atrocities that are said in your book, such as that Jesus was not crucified, that he did not claim to be the Son of God, etc. etc. Come on go ahead look for witnesses.

Jesus is the word, we find conformation of this in john 1-14 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth...Amen christians.

Amjidhuss I want to urge you to read the whole bible, because as you can see, God send His Son to the Earth. God wants us to worship Jesus, because Jesus showed by his teachings and how he lived, how we should live and what God is like. These are just a sample of bible verses that tell that Jesus is God, there are way more. But I urge you to read the Bible for yourself. I am sorry that is such rubbish. Jesus is fundamental to Islam - Islam means Isa-Al-Masih = Jesus the Messiah, The gospel is considered one of the holy books if Islam. The 3rd sentence in the Quran is to embrace the people of the book (Jews and Christians as spiritual family). You cannot leave Islam to find Jesus, you literally cannot be in Islam without Jesus.

@@SolaItua You say Jesus purpose was to die and be resurrected kind of destroys the sacrifice idea. I agree Islam does not believe that was part of Jesus live story. They do however believe Jesus ascended into heave and sits at God right hand, they do believe Jesus will return again. the 'teachings of Jesus' in Christianity and Islam are very similar. Although you are right there are some differences. Just because they are not identical does not mean one is for Jesus and one against.

@criticalthinker8007 that is where you are wrong, Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Jesus died for our sins as a SACRIFICE. In the bible it doesn't say to kill your enemies, but to instead love them, it doesn't say to teach your wife a lesson by beating her, it doesn't say to behead people, it doesn't say that God is a deceiver, like literally, the truth is literally in all of your faces, you all are just watering down or have different stories for the meaning, while it is clear as day, Jesus lived a perfect life, Mohammed's was FAR from perfect, I'm sure you already know what he teaches, yes he did a few good things but to follow what you'll claimed was revealed to a man who promotes violence and beating your wife, JUST TO NAME A FEW, over the perfect Jesus is insane to me. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16). Jesus said this to warn those who are lukewarm in Christ, like I said it is either you are for Jesus entirely or against Him, never in the middle

The Quran literally states Jesus is the Word of God and the Word was thrown down ☁️⤵️ in Arabic. (4.171) The Quran never explained what it meant but we know, Mohamad just copy pasting what he heard the Christians say without understanding. That's why the Quran says if you don't know something, you have to go ask the Jews or Christians to learn. (16.43, 21.7, 10.94)

@@amjidhuss1092 That is false. The example of Adam and Jesus are not the same in the Quran. Adam was created by the hands of Allah from mud and it took 40 years, Jesus was not. Jesus became flesh without any of that. Jesus had a mother, Adam didn't. Jesus' life is from the breath of the Holy Spirit, Adam's is not.

The clip has truth mixed with error. Muslims do need to believe Jesus is the Son of Yahweh, and that he’s the messiah who died for their sins; that Yahweh raised Jesus from the dead proving that “he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man [Jesus] he has appointed.” They must believe that “there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus…” But there’s nothing in the Scriptures which require belief in the teaching that the 1 God is tripersonal, that Jesus is fully divine. That’s an addition to the gospel as well as a distortion. The Acts 17:31 and 1 Timothy 2:5 quotes above show that. Paul didn’t confuse the identity of the 1 God with the identity of the mediator did he? Christians must stop requiring belief in manmade traditions. The deity of Christ and the Trinity are accretions to apostolic tradition. It’s so sad Nabeel was misled by this as well, but this is the process of ongoing reformation in the church-getting back to apostolic tradition.

I once was a Trinitarian and have spent a lot of time and money getting Bible/Theological degrees from conservative schools…and through all of that I still didn’t notice things and I shut down folks who back then sounded like I do now. So I’m familiar with the proof texts. Trust me, you’ve a lot more work to do besides pointing to what you think is a slam dunk passage. You’re coming to that text already having been taught T-ism and what that passage is teaching, and yet, when applying basic reading comprehension and hermeneutics it cannot mean what you and T’s want it to mean. You have to take off the trinitarian glasses and let the worldview categories of the biblical author and his audience help you understand.

@@BreakingBreadwithBurke Even though the very quote I gave you was Christ's explicit claim to divinity, which in context of the verse was taken to be so by those around Him -- so much so that they picked up stones to kill Him for blasphemy. I'll keep studying. But you should probably do the same.

I do of course disagree with your assessment of the passage and that their response confirms what you think the text is teaching. Can I offer one question to help you think more? In that passage, are you saying Jesus is claiming to be numerically identical to the Son of Yahweh, Yahweh, and the angel/messenger of Yahweh-all at the same time?

Surah 4:157, “That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.”

You left out a few verses 😅 Matthew 4:9-10 - Jesus said worship God alone, and he refused to worship Satan. Luke 4:7-8 - Jesus said worship God alone, and he refused to worship Satan. Revelation 19:10 - Angel said worship God alone, and rebuked for worshipping him. Revelation 22:8-9 - Angel said worship God alone, and rebuked for worshipping him. Romans 1:25 - Worship only the Creator. Psalm 95:6 - Worship the Creator. Revelation 14:7 - Worship the Creator. Acts 10:25-26 - Cornelius worshipped Peter, and Peter rebuked him. Mathew 2:11 - Jesus was worshipped, and he did not rebuke. John 9:38 - Jesus was worshipped, and he did not rebuke. (Blind man healed) Matthew 14:33 - Jesus was worshipped by disciples, and he did not rebuke. (Jesus walks on Sea) Matthew 28:9 - Jesus was worshipped, and he did not rebuke. Matthew 28:17 - Eleven disciples worshipped Jesus, and he did not rebuke. Luke 24:52 - Disciples worshipped Jesus, and Jesus did not rebuke. (During Ascension) Hebrews 1:6 - Let all the angels of God worship him [Jesus]. (Ref to Det 32:43 and Psalm 97:7 which says to worship God, but here we see it is applied by the Father to his Son)
