Sorry to hear this happened to you! My husband was cheated on by the woman he was with before me. He kicked her out and filed for divorce and she stalked us for several years after, acting like it was our fault. When in reality I didn't even meet him until about 6 months after he filed for divorce. So Much I could share about that crazy b**** but we'd be here for hours lol. But know that you did the right thing looking out for your daughters and I commend you for seeking out family counseling. Beautiful to see a dad looking out for his family. If she ever cared that much, she wouldn't have seriously planned on leaving her family to begin with... some people are just ridiculous! Best wishes to you and your family!
