Yes, the 32 corresponds with the number of NFL teams and first round draft picks, but it’s not an actual projection of who they think will be a first round pick. Otherwise, I would never put a running back as a five star.

Heres some cheese on the transfer portal. If after your visit and you have a close battle remove the player from your board and then add him back and reoffer the scholarship and you can do another visit. You can do this through every week of the transfer portal.

If you're a big school like this and have good grades on almost everything, when you have the ideal pitch down to two choices you can soft sell them on both and it'll tell you which is their ideal after the week advances from the results.

@@maxplayscfb Yeah, I've found that soft sell with two green checks even with grades like A/A/F is very safe, to the point where if I can put 60 hours on a guy I'll hard sell the ideal pitch and soft sell something that's one off. It's actually even more powerful if you can't find the right pitch because if you can soft sell on enough possibilities that you can cover every interest category for every pitch they might have based on what you know, that could let you figure out what interests they have even if you don't find exactly the right pitch on the soft sell.

@@prototype27 I'm confused. So is the idea behind this that if you use 2 soft sells, they cancel each other out in terms of influence gained/lost? Therefore you don't have to wait till you can narrow it down to 1 potential sell, but 2 instead? The only negative consequence of this would be you might actually lose out on some influence gain if maybe sending the house ended up narrowing your sell to 1 option the next week.

I think the real challenge is with developing the talent, it would be cool to see you take this even further and take a team to 99 overall. I haven't seen it done but I've seen people hit 97 so I'm sure it's possible with some luck and developing coach abilities

The importance of checking back on 4 and 5 star commits with no offers is real. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this already or had this happen, but I just lost a COMMITTED 5 star LT because my play style grade for his deal breaker dropped below his set grade for it. Not only did he decommit after I had won the recruiting battle, but he locked me out dropped me to #10 on his list, and he went back to top 5 status. So even if I brought my play style grade for him back up, I was already locked out. So if it's happening to me, it's for sure happening to the AI.. and apparently can happen to guys who have already committed. Your videos are a huge help! Keep them coming!

This is gonna help me tremendously going into my next season in my online dynasty. A couple strategies I totally overlooked including hard selling by process of elimination if you already have 2 green checks. Managed to sign top 5 classes in last two seasons against multiple users but one person managed to steal multiple 5 stars and sign 13 total this past season. Hopefully this turns the tide.

Visits are worth it now but not all recruites need it. So the really close battles you should send one. Also they changed how grades influences so you might want to look into thw grades now because you can have 2 great grades and a decent one and it seems like its not moving the bar very well anymore. Also i would love to know if you think send soft sell on top of hard sell still works

I’m recruiting pretty well. My issue is that I’m recruiting too many players, so I have to cut (force transfer) a lot of players. I’m cutting the lowest rated players, but some of those guys could have grown into great players.

When I get to 5 star prestige I cut recruiting down to only: - 5 star non-bust. - 4 star gems. - 4 star non-gems for strict roster needs only. Keeps size down and quality up once your roster is stacked and you largely don’t miss on recruits anymore.

So I was able too land 18 5 stars 3 years in a row no visits using your way max. What I realize is with no visits your are on a small window and little room for error lol. The first thing I suggest anyone that does this don’t overload the board. 14 is max to target you can do 15 but that will stretch thin if you trying too not lose anyone. All you do is send too house and dm player 60 points that’s it. By week 2 you should be in top 5 for almost all and already working on hard sell. One thing I suggest is for those with 2 checks always check too see if you can find the last question mark obviously if it’s more than one choice leave it alone. Now on a side note I read about an update that made pitching having a more influential I tested that I had a linebacker I was in 1st place I soft selled guess wrong on the 3 pitch and fell into 2nd. So I took another player that I had 2 checks instead of soft selling just added an extra 10 hours and his last pitch revealed the following week. So as long as you do everything right by week 4 you should have at least 5-8 commits with those free hours max out on the rest of the commits meaning that if you are at 60/80 hours for players all those recruiting hours max it out completely the reason why is because by the 4th/5th week visits will start being scheduled so you want too have the player commit before they get a visit because you will lose too anyone who goes too a visit. Now after you can start going after more 5 stars what I forgot too mention what max did worked good also you can offer as many scholarships too 5 stars just too have all the 5 stars you can add too your board just work on the 14/15 then as you get commits start on those guys asap you will be at a disadvantage but not for all of them and I suggest it’s the second batch of the 5 stars you schedule visits for since you will be behind and need to play catch up I was able too only get 4 more after I got 14 by week since I was behind on a lot of them but I’m trying new ways too see how I can maximize that number

I don't get all the people begging for channels to do a rebuild....for example "Day 31 of asking for a Temple rebuild"....as you've outlined here and many of us have found through playing the game, recruiting is pretty simple to figure out. Recruit, redshirt, and within 3-5 years you can take pretty much any team to a NC. I'm on year 10 of a Western Michigan rebuild. Stadium is always packed, have won 4-5 NCs, just signed a #1, 282 (before transfers haven't done that yet) class (15 5 stars when surrounded by OSU, ND, and UM takes some patience). Instead of waiting 31 days for someone to rebuild your school, do it yourself in 3 days.

I will use your method this week. Would UF (at 3.5 stars) be big enough for this? I have had situations with small schools where I am only getting a handful of recruits (usually strong ones) but can never close any early in the season. So it’s always a struggle on building a good class. But having a method should make it a lot more enjoyable.

Okay so update on this outdated video: I did another (much shorter) vid to test how many “hours” of influence a visit can do, and what can predict it My new Strat DOES include visits only on HIGH PRIORITY recruits and ONLY EITHER IN OFFSEASON or when I have an opponent. I've been curious about trying to exploit the AI towards the end of the year to get more than 35 recruits. Whenever you win a recruiting battle, the person you recruited stays on your board. But if you can spend 50 hours for 1 week to pull way ahead for a 3*, then take them off your board, they'll probably commit at the end of the season anyway (as long as you're still in front from that one week of progress). That means you can kinda rotate out spots on your board as long as you never fully win any of the recruits, and then at the end of the season you could get waaaaaay more recruits than actually would have fit on your board.

These videos are great, but I am still struggling to find an answer to a pretty basic question. Is it better to DM and social media or to do friends and family? I noticed that the green arrow values aren’t always the same. Obviously when friends and family is worth four, and combining social media and DM is worth three it’s a no-brainer. But this seems to change. Sometimes social media is too DM is three and friends and family is four. In those cases I’ve been combining the first two. Any insight?

I’ve seen online that the green arrows are relative and not supposed to be taken at face value. So the 50 hour send the house is better than the 40 hour combo of the 3 smaller actions, even if the 3 smaller actions give more arrows - same logic to your example too I think

So your strategy with 4 stars is confusing. You are now the big dog with all the hours. You should be picking and choosing the 4 stars you want and you have the resources to overcome other teams to land them in most cases. Seems odd that you are trying to use the strategy of going after the leftover scrap 4 stars to avoid competition. You can beat any competition if you want. My only criticism, you have the big dog mindset with the 5 stars imo you should have the big dog mindset with the 4 stars too. If you don’t have hours right now then just stay in the running until you get a couple commitments and then move resources to them. But at this level you have your choice of 4 stars don’t even have to look at 3 stars so pick the ones you want!

Even if you had 1000 recruiting points, you would only be able to spend 50 points on 20/35 players. That leaves at least 15 players that you'll have to compromise on and spend close to 0 hours on. The big dog schools can win *any* recruiting battle, but even with the number of hours they've got, they can't win *every* recruiting battle. Plus, half the point of this video was specifically to get the #1 class, so snagging free 4 stars was good even if they weren't the most useful players.

They said it a while back. But from what I can remember it was because of the contracts and copyright claims. Doing all the players is a lot of Contracting and takes a whole lot of money. But they did say in the future games they will probably be added.

This is NOT how you allocate hours for a big school. You gotta prioritize the prospects you absolutely want by scouting & then allocate the maximum amount of hours possible to each. The more hours you allocate to a particular prospect, the faster you uncover his motivations. Getting to the hard sell before your competitors is key. With more hours at a big school, you can be picky. Every 5 & 4 star isn't worth recruiting. Identify the best ones for your teams needs first, then allocate hours accordingly after the first wave of verbal commitments. His method is more for smaller schools or for securing a better rated class. At a big school focus more on quality over quantity. & by quality i mean dev traits.

I find dynasty in all games to be fun. I can’t stop playing cfb 25 but the dynasty seems too easy. If I am losing a game I quit out and restart because there weighs so much into winning a game and getting the prospects attraction for next year! If you don’t land a few good prospects then you’re doomed next season and the seasons the come soooo you MUST win at least 10-12 games a season or people just won’t sign with you

I’m not going to lie to you bro, you have good videos, but your recruiting advice is so bad, with the same school I can sign 10 5* and fill out my recruiting board 35/35 with players ranked no less than 200, you’re jumping around everywhere and giving guys 5 and 10 hours when you should be maxing out the recruitments you focus on, only reason to not max one out is not even hours and in that case you dump what you have left into 1 recruit, also hard selling and soft sell combination is the most effective strategy in the Top 5 phase, soft sell with one that has 2/3 interest and add a 10 or 5 if you can Also just a lot of weird logic making it more complicated than it needs to be My highest composite recruiting class was 308pts

Can you explain the soft sell part to me? I only ever use hardsell or sway to get a good hardsell. Does soft sell get you influence even if you get one wrong? Is it more effective than the 25 pt Friends and Family?

Some thoughts: * you say you can land 10 5 stars with the same school - if you skip to the end, we landed 16 5 stars and 15 4 stars. So it’s not like we were struggling here * to that point - you say your best class ever was 308 pts. What team was that and what was your record? This class ended up being 288 pts at a borderline top 10 school despite me simming the whole season, so not that far off * to the jumping around - I try to quit recruiting battles if I know I’m gonna lose. If you see examples where I could’ve had a shot but quit too early, please lmk so I can try to learn from that * on the hard + soft sell stuff - I agree. I didn’t do it in this vid because I haven’t gotten to fully test it yet, but that’s the top thing I wanna test in future videos. I’d like to answer the question “how good do those 2 green checks have to be in order for soft sell to be the right move” * finally, would love to hear more about what ‘weird logic’ you saw me do specifically. @@deacondank6249 soft sell is great to stack on top of hard sell as long as you have 2/3 green checks with net positive grades overall you will gain more influence than just sending a 25,10, or 5 and it will sky rocket you up, I’m playing as Wake Forest in an online league and it’s the only way I’m able to secure 5* talent, most recruiting battles will only last about 2-3 weeks once you hit top 5 if you hard and soft sell with good grades, and maybe throw in a visit if needed

⁠@@maxplayscfb you were also recruiting against the CPU you weren’t filtering out players based on archetypes or not meeting desired attribute ratings depending on scheme. For example if I run a spread offense and I’m looking a this wide receiver who’s a 5* gem with great attributes in terms of route running but he has 87 speed…. Doesn’t matter how good he is if he doesn’t have speed as a WR he’s useless in a spread offense. You also weren’t making an effort to prioritize gems, high 4* gems on average end up being 5-8 overalls better than normal or impact 5*, so yes you want 5* but you want the quality 5* that will truly make a difference, weather that be they have a very high rating in an important attribute that sets them apart from the rest or them being 5* gems or having Star-Elite dev trait My best class with Wake Forest was 308 points in a very competitive 32/32 users online league, I don’t even have a league where I’m a top tier program. But even as Wake Forest if I can sign 10 5* and a boat load of 4* even with my filter in a user league, you should be able to do way more than this against the CPU with a top tier school The weird logic was mainly about you taking high 4*s off your board that you were 1-3 in the standings having a really good shot to landing them and adding super low ranked 4* just bc they had no offers, not all 4* are equal, the upper 4* are more like 5* and the lower 4* are more like upper 3* players it’s a real disparaging difference, generally after week about 4-6 if a 4* or higher hasn’t gotten an offer or been heavily recruited it’s probably for a reason, many of those guys tend to be busts, you also didn’t scout them to figure that out, so yea if your goal is to sign “the best class” you can recruit without worrying about gems, busts, attributes or dev traits bc the game will only grade you base on their ranking, but in order to actually have it show up on the field you can’t just willynilly bring in whoever you can get The recruits you could’ve gotten but took off LT Tim Hood at 9:11 QB gem 4* Dennis Malveaux with a tier 5 pipeline Antoine Collie RE tier 4 pipeline
