Generally pretty good for an undergrad eye exam - would be a definite pass if I was examining! Some suggestions: (1) You should have used a UK Snellen chart (has no serifs on the typeface - more reliable). Also will have notation in metres rather than feet. (2) Repeat VA with pinhole for anyone not achieving 6/9 (3) Use a proper reading acuity chart if possible (has various font sizes). Omit this step altogether if distance VA is normal. (4) Confrontation fields - moves towards the centre too quickly in this video for meaningful results. If you want a quick & reliable test for large defects such as quadrantanopia/hemianopia, get them to count fingers in each quadrant of each eye (counting is better as many people will say 'yes' without seeing). If you want really accurate testing to pick up small defects, use a hat pin and go slowly. (5) Pupils - the swinging flashlight needs to rest for at least 2 seconds on each side before swinging rapidly across. This is because it takes a second or two for the pupils to stop oscillating when they adjust to a bright light, and you can get a false RAPD if you swing across prematurely when both pupils happen to be dilating. (6) Don't ask an examiner about doing a cover test unless you know how to do it! (7) Fundoscopy technique pretty good in this video, but remember that you may need to adjust the focussing wheel if the view isn't clear. Find a vessel and focus on that before you attempt to comment on the disc etc.

Great video - Measuring intraocular pressure with a tonopon would have been a great add-on to this video as it is considered one of the vital signs for the eye.

+Anna Rose Hey! Sorry we haven't gotten around to doing that one yet. It's on the list for a redo soon. We've been busy building something you'll get to see in the next week. We're back to filming in a few weeks time, which might not be soon enough for you. The current video still holds a lot of educational value.
