In response to the query from qrtfalcon: at C, there is a roller support that allows free movement in the vertical direction, therefore, there is no resisting force or reaction to such a motion. In other words, there is only one restraint to motion and that is along the horizontal direction at C. Since this is a standard support, I had directly introduced a single reaction in the horizontal direction. Siva

@qrtfalcon that is because at C there is no restraint in vertical movement. that is like a rest in form of a wheel that prevents movement only in horizontal direction so there is only one force restraining movement of the system.

Should have completed the problem. Jumping between FBD to analyse was not necessary, it made the lecture a bit confusing. Writing all equations and correlating works well and we can simplify naturally. Art work at the end is redundant for most of the physical systems in mechanics.
