Buenisimo video, tenia mis dudas en el ejemplo 1 respecto a la distribucion de las presiones, pero con esto queda clarisimo, saludos desde El Salvador!

May i know what is the difference between Case 1 and Case 2 in roof pressure calculations?
@DDButtah Жыл бұрын
@ 18:03, why do you show the average pressure instead of splitting it up into all of the regions? I.e. Pressure from 15ft-20ft, pressure from 20ft-25ft, and pressure from 25ft-30ft?
@analysisdesignstudio3363 Жыл бұрын
I have used average value of these as to reduce the effort. Otherwise need to apply loads in software in different intervals and it take time, as height of building is not so much so it is better to use avg values and it is some what conservative. But if height of building is more like 50 to 60, then it is better to take intervals of 2.5m or 5m and calculate pressure at these interval and apply accordingly. Hope answered your question.

If we design this in etabs,should we have to assign leeward force to structure when the structure is open from all sides
@analysisdesignstudio336310 ай бұрын
Hello bhavin... Hope you are good. In etabs, only enclosed and partially enclosed conditions.. We can apply the wind loads from the etabs and this is only for building. For structures other than regular buildings it is better to calculate wind loads manually and also apply them manually.. Thats why i have started video series regarding this topic. Hope you understand. Keep watching and keep sharing.. ❤️

At 16:49 I think the direction of arrows should be towards the roof rather than going away from the roof; Kindly correct me if I am wrong.

No Brother, as net pressure value is having -ve sign with it, means pressure away from the surface. +ve means towards the surface. see my 1st video on Wind

Thank you for this. It's very helpful. What would Cp for roof be if the angle is less than 10° and h/L is the same as the example(0.625)?
@analysisdesignstudio3363 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for appreciation.. In that case, Example 1 case will be followed. (Wind Load will be independent on roof slope)

Hii.. You are doing a very good job.. i just want to tell you that please check the KZ value in that. As per code upto 30 ft you have to consider the KZ value is 0.7.. Please check it. Thank you..

Thanks for Appreciation brother. The point you were raised is true when we use Envelope Procedure (Chapter 28) to find wind pressure. because at Table 26-10.1 footnote it is written "Use 0.70 in Chapter 28, Exposure B, when z < 30 ft (9.1 m)." But here I am using Directional Procedure (Chapter 27).
