And at 31:30 when windward side is the South Side. Is it right to apply pressure according to Section A-A ? Because in section A-A the concept of 0 to h is no more applicable because it is not a windward side.

Thanks for liking. For h/L less than or equal to 0.5. We have to take 4 regions from 0 to h values are -0.9 and -0.18 and from h to 2h and 'greater than 2h, they are tabulated similarly. No need to take average. They are 2 values means we have to take two cases ... Case 1 and case 2... See at 22:40

Thank you for this amazing video with all the concept. I have a question, At 26:54 when it is load case 1 and wind direction is W to E. According ASCE 0 to h and h/2 .. all these region are horizontal distances from windward edge. When windward edge is at west then how these pressures can be illustrated in N-S directions???

Hello Dear. There are two cases. because of two values of Cp given in Table of ASCE 7-16 Figure 27.3-1 Roof Pressure Coefficient. Upper portion table windward section. there are two values and lower portion table -0.9 & -0.18 similarly other values listed in the tables

Thanks for appreciation... qh is calculated by same formula as qz but here z = h (mean roof height).... For determining flexible or rigid structure, there are seperate equations (see in ASCE 7 )used for calculation value of gust factor G but in these videos i have just considered a value of 0.85 as it is normally we get for rigid structures...

Great video and explanation sir.. but i have a clarification.. Example: 1. As per the table.. for both parallel or perpendicular to the ridge.. the wind will be upwards or suction? 2. Then the horizontal dist from windward edge will be both applicable to either parallel or perpendicular to ridge?

Thanks for Appreciation. 1) See first video titled Wind Loads Calculations using ASCE 7-16 - Part 1: Basic Mechanism of Wind Load on Structures. you will find the answer 2) See the table in FIGURE 27.3-1 ASCE 7-16, in both the cases (Normal to Ridge for θ < 10° and Parallel to Ridge for All θ) Horizontal Distance from Windward Edge need to be used.
