Example: Vacancies from Fraction

When we heat things up, the atoms get to moving. We can then figure out how many vacancies are left, by first determining how many spots there were originally and then using a simple equation to get the ratio of spots that are now empty.

So long as you are not approaching the melting point, yes. When you get close to a phase change, it would likely start to have issues.
