Those who are asking d=1 is given but sir has joined the two frequencies: d has nothing to do with distance between frequencies it is individual for each frequency as can be seen in formula of bandwidth of a single frequency is (1+d)r. In previous video d is taken as 0 just to get minimum bandwidth

Sir, you explained in FSK lesson is- for minimum B.W -when d=0 but in this example you take d=1 for the B.W(min) calculation... If it is correct Need some explanation sir

In the second question, when calculating carrier frequency, the amplitude to frequency graph that you have drawn is correct for d=0 (as explained in previous video) . But in this question d=1. So why are the two waveforms touching?
@EngineeringFunda
@EngineeringFunda 6 жыл бұрын
In FSK, you have two carrier frequency, fc0 for 0's and fc1 for 1's

@@EngineeringFunda so why isnt there a gap between the spectrum of fc1 and fc2
@EngineeringFunda
@EngineeringFunda 6 жыл бұрын
It is not complsory to have gap. Even this one channel only . So there will be inter symbol interference after some extent of pulse dispersion.

last video in fsk there were multiple carrier frecuencies and bw form-ary fsk was (1+d).r + (L-1).(gap bw fo and f1) but here we have only one carrier frequency 10MGHz so how can we frequency shift key if we only have 1 frequency? thanks in advance 2nd question: did we even used carrier frequency in first question?? i mean bw = L.r r is (8.(3mbps/3bits)) = 10MHz but we didnt actually used fc=10Mhz did we?
@eshwar7105
@eshwar7105 4 жыл бұрын
a) Its. FSK frequency not carrier. b) 2.(del).f= (1+d).r put this in equation you get BW= L.(1+d).r c)Carrier frequency is typo for fsk frequency.

We can have L =23 =8. The baud rate is S =3 MHz/3 =1000 Mbaud. This means that the carrier frequencies must be 1 MHz apart (211f =1 MHz). The bandwidth is B =8 x 1000 =8000. I don't understand this..this solution is from the book of Behrouz A. Forouzan.
