if you remove the "HALT" command at the end of the peanut thing it should reduce the size by one and it will still stop (exas terminate if they reach the end of their code)

OH. Haha. Right. Thank you for catching that :)

Definitely like the format. I think Human Resource Machine and 7 Billion Humans are actually really great intro level tools for training people in programming logic while Zachtronics games present puzzles which require more depth of the same type of thinking to complete. Each Zachtronics game either directly gives you more advanced programming challenges which compare directly to real code or give you the same type of thinking but without any direct connection to coding.

I think I'm learning that I'm more entertained and more proficient at the logic without the syntax :) Opus Magnum is my jam.

Correction: the ORIGINAL "Hacking", was at the MIT Model Railroad Club, where they would literally hack various model bridges and tunnels. I used to follow the saga of Kevin Mitnick in 2600 magazine in the 90s, and was very disappointed when he came out of prison, his book and interviews made it clear he only knew socially engineering, getting passwords from secretaries, convincing people he was working maintenance on phone lines. If his knowledge was outdated, I would understand and sympathize. But he didn't indicate any programming or scripting knowledge. By that standard, John McAfee is the greatest hacker of all time, making billions by over-promising comp-sec from his product, then successfully fleeing murder charges in Belize and then running.for.President.of.the.United.States. THAT is social engineering!!! The thing to remember is "social engineers" created the the hacker mystique, and redefined what "hacker" means in the media and elsewhere, and that the image itself can't be trusted. It's a fundamentally deceptive word, because it describes people who don't really exist. Using the tools of Sn3rpOs' OS for example, is really just knowing how to use those apps. That's how to defeat security. Programming is almost never needed anymore, not since logging onto BBSes through the phone lines was a "thing". There have been games done in the right period that approaches simulation. BTW Mitnick has done some catching up since prison. He's a smart guy, and various companies looking for his endorsements returned the favor by teaching him a lot. I wouldn't criticize the label "hacker" for him now.

Hi this is "Xpert-Wanderer"-----that exapunk game looks interesting.

It is SUPER interesting. It really makes you work for the solutions. You basically have to do research in the manual to figure out how anything works :) But I'm really glad I played it!

Not gonna lie. I bought Exapunks just so I could unlock the Redshift. ;)
