I stayed there a month ago, and the slide pool was closed the entire area was roped off. So cool that it was open for you to cover. As you experienced, the resort fee and taxes when I stayed were more than the room. As always I enjoy watching your content.

I officially made a reservation mid week and noticed the slide pool was only open weekends so moved my date to a Thursday night. That was the biggest reason I wanted to stay! Hah. They should lower resort fees when you can access everything is supposed to include though. 😳

10:02 I spent 11 nights at the Excalibur in 2019 and that pool was not open once. I think it is a bit of a con they can advertise it but it is never open. It is best to stay in the Resort Tower as it is a lot closer to the pool.

I will ALWAYS love the themed properties over any of the new luxury focused properties. 70/night? I guess I'm living in the past longing for the prices of my 2005 Sahara stay(30/night, no resort fees, coupon books and an 8.99 2 for 1 buffet). As for the rooms, as long as they're clean with no bugs(bed or otherwise), I'm cool.

LOVED your overview. I've stayed at "The Castle" about five times since 2008 and I still love going to this resort. Sure, it's a budget room destination on the strip, but there are so many great amenities that make it worth booking a vacation here. I'll be back in April of 2023!

Great review! I appreciate looking at budget options. It’s ok but worn and tired. But it was clean. A much better value is the Luxor next door. It’s only about $10 more a night, rooms are nicer. But I had a perfectly fine stay at Excalibur. The medieval theme is fun. Take all the money you save by staying there and go gamble, see shows and go to nice restaurants. You are further down the strip which is nice. And there is a moving walkway to Luxor and you can take a free tram to Mandalay Bay.

Looks like a fun place to stay and I was so happy you were able to stay there and get away from home also the buffet you showed looked so good but every time I eat at one I feel guilty for eating thing I knew I shouldn’t have eaten that’s why I rarely go now the arcade you showed looked awesome but I was curious if you relived your childhood and played any of the games also the pool really looked like the place to hang out now I must ask how fun was that slide also I want to say I hope more of the resorts around Vegas invited you and Eddie to stay at them thanks again for a great video now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Dani and Eddie and I’ll see you on the next awesome Vegas video peace ☮️ out ✌️

I like how you don't let a few stains here and there and noisy air conditioning ruin your stay. Most bloggers would complain endlessly. Resort fees are ridiculous. They should make Hotels post the total rate upfront in their reservation systems without you having to wait for the much higher final total.

Fun Fact. The Royal Tower was renovated in 2016. That furniture came from Mandalay bay. So when you see a space for a mini fridge in that furniture, it was the mini bar location that such properties have. And Luxor Pyramid rooms were renovated this year (2022) with furniture from Bellagio. It's quite nice. Same thing as well, a space for the fridge that was a mini bar. (I think there are still some older rooms that were renovated prior and they may not have been refreshed. Look on their site and you'll see the striped wallpaper, they used to say "Deluxe" and now they don't. But the recently refreshed rooms say "Premier" on them. I really hope Excalibur will refresh the Resort tower soon. You can't expect them to do the Royal tower again anytime soon, but they could do the Resort tower.

The room was actually not too bad. I get comps all the time, just would have to pay the resort fees and taxes. I do like the casino floor, so maybe one day I will give it a try. 2 for 1 drinks and buffet - not bad at all! I definitely would like to go to the Tournament of Kings. The pool is actually nice, and cool that they have a fitness room. Thanks for the great review.

What a cool place but just like anywhere the cheaper you pay the room is not the best but it looked decent if staying for a few days. Everything else in the Resort looked amazing and so did the food buffet.

Actually i have stayed here many times many years ago.. I had/have zero problem staying there.. Only draw back its on the far southside of the strip.. But getting a monorail pass from MGM across the street makes getting around much easier.. Maybe staying more in the middle of the strip (planet hollywood to flamingo) area has easier access to things and flamingo is in somewhat the same price point.. But great video!

Oh yikes! It was annoying but if you placed the closet door and shower door just right AND turned on the constant fan option on the ac (which I do anyways) it wasn't so bad. Lol. Any louder though it probably would have kept me up.

The room was OK truly not the best but it was worth the money that you paid. If you are staying there for a few nights maybe not so much but if you stay in there for just a couple of nights I think you’ll be just fine. However I do not like that they did not have a refrigerator in there that wasn’t cool. The Buffet was Good. Thank you Dani and Eddie for this amazing look

Every time I use the MGM app and check in online it never works. I end up having to stand in a long line anyway. I pay for early check in and I tell it the night before when I am coming. Yet, I get to the hotel and the app gives me nothing. I stand in line and get a room right away. Makes no sense, lol.

Nice room! I would be happy in there! I wish Vegas would stop with the room tax nonsense. It seems like a massive con and I hate paying it! The casinos used to have cheap rooms to attract folks to stay at the property and hopefully gamble more, now it seems they want to grab money wherever they can! xxx

Resort fees are per night. But if you are MGM rewards Gold level or above, the resort fee is waived.

We just got back from Bellagio but every time we passed Excalibur my kids (18 and 21) thought Excalibur looked like a big miniature golf or Lego park... It's really cute from the outside! We miss your Disney content but having fun with your Vegas vlogs...

@@Dani702 This was our first non Disney vacation in a long time.. were kind of used to Disney prices ..but, just didn't realize how expensive Vegas has gotten (especially their restaurants) since being there years ago and before having kids.... I kept saying to my husband "what kind of jobs do these people have?" 😊. We did love Bellagio a lot...We stayed there mainly due to location and going with my elderly parents. The high end shops were fun to window shop.
