Sunseeker C3 TX Maiden Ride

The maiden ride for me on my T3 CX :) A few notes: The trike isn't fully assembled, there are parts not connected, missing, etc. The audio for the ride is pure garbage. The camera picked up every vibration from the frame. The video is very shaky because of the handlebar mount I used. Not the best video, but it's a start!
I've since moved to a helmet mount so we'll see if the quality improves with that.

I hope the scorpion assist bars work for this...I have the versa bars on my terra trike rover and I love them! I would also suggest heel straps. I did not want the clip on pedals as I need to rotate the balls of my feet on the pedal for comfort. I realize this comment might be passe if you've up loaded vids since then but I will subscribe and check it out. when I get my crap together I will gopro some of my rides and the terra trike experience. safe cycling to you!!!

Actually, the scorpion assist bars aren't all that great for this Trike. The cross bar is tapered toward the end and it's shape is more oval than the scorpion's. I looked into it because I liked Matt's trike in his JaYoe travelogue. I mean, they *might* be able to be attached, but with this trike, you wouldn't be able to use them to steer the trike at all, only use them as assists. Safe cycling to you as well!

I noticed this old video and was wondering if you still have the trike and what your thoughts are today? Hpw fast can you cruise on the eco tad once you get used to it.

Wow, I've had it for 2 years now...I've gotten up to 25-ish MPH if I pop it into a high gear on a hill (a small one), and it rides pretty nicely. I haven't had much of a chance to ride it over the summer and fall due to the crazy hot weather and recently it's been raining or far too cold to go riding. :\ The only other limitation is that there aren't many trails/paths for me to ride on, so I'm relegated to the local park and neighborhood. Anywhere else around the area is certainly calling for a lot of pain. But I love my trike and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beginning road trike. If I get a new one, I'm going for a more off-road brand so I can partake of some of the rails in our national parks.

Is it hard to pedal , and does your legs get tired in that position

Pedaling is just fine and my legs do not get all that tired so long as I keep an easy pace, of course. I've gone several miles at a time without issues. Though, due to the summer heat, I haven't spent a lot of time on the trike recently :\ And to tell you the honest truth, it was very easy to get some good power out of the trike while in that position as if you were on a recumbent exercise bike.

....you have issues with the trike?? Ow about wearing your helmet properky adjusted. The way it is now, if you were to nosedive or throuw your head forward, your helmet will hit the ground before you do!!

Thanks for the concern, though, it's pretty difficult to nosedive off of a recumbent trike. Even with the brakes suddenly slammed on at 20mph, I wasn't pitched forward. To be honest, that was actually the first time I rode with a bike helmet and it does need to be adjusted some more.
