I like the work you do and love your sense of humor. Advice, when you have an elevation change in a utility trench put a clay collar around the conduit to prevent the trench from channeling water below the surface. Similar to an overflow pipe on a pond dam.

Merry Christmas! All the best wishes for the entire family! The sound with the new mics is excellent. Super clear. Auto-levels did well with the was as well.
@AtomicSneeze15 сағат бұрын
you can disguise the electrical on the side by placing a large chain on/around the conduit and make it look like an anchor chain from a distance. Wont fool anyone up close but might make for some good 20 ft camo. Or if not a chain, wrap the conduit with an old rope. Either way make it look like it is either anchored in place or tied to the dock. It'll fit with the theme a little better than conduit on the side.

Crazy funny is I did that same method when I built my shop, I knew I wanted a house... and someone mentioned Hey morg.... a cabin for help in your shop. Power company was coming past my place and so I got a ton of materials together and built my stuff like your doing. Power company came by, very happy ninety percent was done for them... still open to see with ground rods and all. I did mess up as I was offered three phase at the time and did not choose it. It then became too expensive and so hindsight came. Three phase is not going to happen unless your near a transformer. nice Mike.. lets have a great new year

For bending plastic pipe, use your LP weed burner to heat the area you want the bend. It's surprisingly effective without damaging the pipe.

Impressive discipine on that burn pile. I usually say that I'm going to keep it small, and add stuff as it burns down, then it becomes "just add this, and this, and this and," next thing you know, "towering inferno." (And then, 10 minutes of frantic dirt pushing.) Looks like good progress, but from recent trips to the ER, I'd suggest using a strap to lift that base with the mini, as when you get my age, just standing up a 10 foot section of stud wall can put you about 9 weeks behind on projects. Thanks for the video and take care!

Every dirty rock is money in the bank! I get so jealous of all the limestone chunks you get access to. I got a few trailer loads brought to me by my husband when the company he works for did an expansion, the excavator operator had the wherewithal to separate the limestone chunks from the soil and it was free for the taking. I began a rock garden and stone path landscaping project and now i want more for a retainer wall and more stone pathways but to buy them is in the hundreds per ton! 😢

She starts to remind me of a river tow boat so have you thought about (of course you have) a funnel/stack/exhaust pipe of some description? If she were to resemble an old river boat perhaps two tall, slender stacks forward of the wheelhouse, one each port and starboard OR. to look a bit more like a modern tow boat perhaps a funnel aft of the wheelhouse with an exhaust pipe for each of your 16 cylinder EMD prime movers ( my choice)!

Hey "Frank", Since you're doing it your way😂😂 I was wondering why you did not put a pipe through the concrete for the electric pre-pour? Mike, I was thinking you were going to place Electric Ribbon tape on above the pipe in the ground, you know, just in case you accidently dig. I guessing it is only for the mainline. Also, does this mean the Shed/workshop is getting power in 2025? 😁😁 Audio sounds great and the place is coming along nicely.

Captain, next time you mess with pvc pipe that you need to bend use your weed burner touch. Just be careful not to burn it. I bend pvc all the time with one. Anything from 3/4” all the way up to 6”. Although 4”-6” is only a slight offset bend and very hard to do o have done it before and it does work. 2” is very easy to make your long sweeps saves you money instead of buying them.

I have put minor kicks and bends in that conduit with heat but I used either a propane torch or a heat gun. Heat gun seemed best as it spread the heat wider and more even but yeah that exhaust was like not hot enough and not focused where you needed it most. it also could have deformed the end as the most heat was there at the wrong place. If you use a propane torch use a spreader to widen out the flame to a broader section as you do not want pinpoint heat.

Hello Mike. Right, why sink the ship before it sails? There is bound to be something Nautical that could be used or made to look like it is nautical, that would disguise the connections that need to enter the Yacht. A "T" connection for power, now that is really thinking past the end of your nose. Have good days!

Cap’n, seeing you build that Dutch oven gave me a hankering for having a big ole pot of pinto beans and ham hocks to stew overnight. I mean, I hate to waste a slow simmering fire in the woods without getting a feast out of it…. And nothing says ‘hearty meal’ like ham and beans over a campfire. I was surprised that you didn’t use flex conduit at the connection to the yacht… you do realize that high and low tide could have an effect…. Doncha? Oh wait… I forgot… this is KZbin… the laws of nature don’t apply! We are down in Florida… today we’re taking our new boat out to try shark fishing. I’ll toot the horn if we pass the YT Yacht on our voyage. I hope you had a Merry Christmas?
