I use about 50 cubic yards of firewood every year. I burn 1m long logs and fell, cut, split and stack it mostly on my own. This is a small timelapse of the process!

So this is what you do to relax on the weekends! Sure beats going to the gym. =D That little grapple is just perfect. Here in the US, the first go to piece of equipment is a skidsteer over a small excavator - 20 to 1 at least. I can't understand the thinking except that skidsteers look more macho and there are YT's of guys doing wheelies in skidsteers??? If I had a machine like yours, you couldn't give me a skidsteer. Have a good week!

This footage is from april I think. But yes it usually is how I spend part of my weekends at least 😅 I have thought alot about why it is so different in different countries! I watch alot of usa KZbinrs that work in landscaping etc. They sure do get alot of use out of them, but i like my setup. A wheeled loader able to travel at 50km/h and my excavator 🙂 I have used a skidsteer on 1 job over a my 15 years of doing landscaping jobs. I do not have a reason to invest in one. They are generally rare in sweden. Thanks, you too! 😀

@@Stocksten-wl4ey it is very interesting to hear your thoughts on equipment choice. I was questioning the validity of my observation. Seems as though our logic about efficient machines "tracks". Intentional pun ) =D When It comes to loading, your wheel loader can "run circles" around a skidsteer! I did it again! I feel like a comedian today =D This is one of many great things about YT - being able to share with others in far away lands. :)

Haha 😀 i am very happily surprised of how the yt community is! 👍🏼👍🏼 Just thought of a major reason why there probably are so few skid steers over here. I can imagine they are useless for plowing snow! Almost every loader is used for snow removal during winter. I travel well over 10 km between snow removal sites!

Hello! 👋 The Engcon ec214 is made for 9-14 ton machines! You can find more info at www.engcon.com I understand that engcon is more known World wide, but there are plenty of competitors. Steelwrist, rototilt (used to be called indexator) and ”SMP parts” have comparable products to engcon. I would compare prices if they are available in your country! 😀 best of luck to you!
