I finally got anew personal macro workbook (I do'i know how). Npw, though, whenever I try to run a macro, it say that it won'i execute in break. I'm not sure how to get out of break mode in Excel, though.

I have never run a macro, I always thought it was served with cheese. But I needed to do this "proper" formatting on a huge spreadsheet. Here's a tip. If you are watching this and don't view in full screen, when Bill says "equals", it's an = sign, not a -. I heard you say equals, but it looked like you were using the hyphen. Not knowing VB that's what I did. When I figured it out, it worked perfect. Now I have to go to best buy for a new mouse and something to cover the hole in the drywall.

When I try using the UpperSelection macro, I am getting this error message: Cannot run the macro 'PERSONAL.XLSB!UpperSelection'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled. This is my first time working with macros, so I created it along with you in the video. I think I got all the steps correct. What gives?

Bill Jelen yes, I did all of that. I figured it out...the problem was simply that I needed to restart Excel completely, and it worked like a charm!

There is a space between Application and underscore... And also between WorksheetFuntion and underscore... Like this- Application _ .WorksheetFunction _ .Proper(cell.Value) I hope this solves your problem...

Hi, I got a runtime error 13, debugged and it brought up 'cell.Value -UCase(cell.Value)'. Clearly I have typed something wrong which I think is the 'equal to' but as its my first attempt at VBA im scratching me head.

Excel does not understand the concept of Sentence Case. Your best bet is to copy the data to Word, change the case in Word, copy from Word, and then paste to Excel.
