Is there a way to convert the exchange rate across an entire sheet or workbook? For example, if I have an Income Statement on Tab 1 and a Balance Sheet on Tab 2, all in a foreign currency and I want to convert to USD, can I apply a universal conversion across either tab or on the entire workbook without going into each individual cell and hard-typing a formula?

Hi - I don't know if/when this changed, but I also couldn't see 'currency' in my data set - However, I found another video that said 'click on stock' (not currency) and low and behold that works! It sees the currency as a stock and hey presto

Hi Chris, Thanks a lot. Here is my problem ... I created the currencies board, say USD/EUR, USD/CHF, USD/GBP A1:A3 and the values B1:B3. I named the cells B1 "EUR", B2 "CHF" and B3 "GBP". Fine, I have my currencies' values on the spot. Now in the spreadsheet, in connection of each of my assets I have the currency each belongs to, CHF, USD, GBP, EUR. When I calculate the actual market value I would like to also convert to my reference currency, whatever it is. How can I take the text cell showing the 3 letters currency to match/retrieve/understand that it should the take the name+its value and multiply/divide to get the value in my reference currency? Thanks

Hi there! I really need some help. In my table I have 4 columns. Column 1 is ID/Name, Column 2 is Currency Code (EUR, GBP, BRL, JPY), Column 3 is Payment Due in USD, and column 4 is Payment due in local currency. How do I make it so Column 4 exchanges the rate of the USD in Column 3 to the corresponding currency code in column 2? Please help me! I have to get this sorted within a day or two!!! Any help is greatly appreciated.

After testing this across 3 different machines with matching versions of MSO 365 (Microsoft Excel for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.14326.20936) 64-bit ), I discovered this seems to only work reliably with the web version. Across my three systems, when opening up with excel as part of MO 365 installed apps the data types options in the data tab either hasn't show up at all or has shown up with limited options (only org, stocks and geography data types). Very weird stuff. If I figure out how to align experiences I'll comment back here.

@@stugryffin3619 You can use the stocks function. First, the table needs to be highlighted (I didn't highlight the header). With the table highlighted, click the Stocks function. Then click your table header. Click the icon that appears next to the table to add column. Then add Price (or whatever). I use Office 2016. I, too, only had Stocks and Geography as functions. I think 365 web-based.
