I think there is some lies in your comment. I do not believe someone mentioning that his dealing with large data while working in accounting job and somehow from a vdo from youtube it makes your life easier. I would believe if it’s from someone is learning power query and still in learning process.

Wow - as someone who has seen various people at work rocking power queries, I thought it was a step I didn't have the energy for after getting to grips with everything from pivot tables through to writing decently long VBA code. Little did I know how "easy" and powerful this is. My company has finally settled on some standards across the organisation and is moving to Power BI and SQL, so I needed to find a good resource to get started and this is it (I came here from your Power BI intro video). Very good presentation. The pace of your delivery is quite fast which keeps me engaged. I'm a big fan of Power Query but use it with Excel linked to SQL views that I've created. I do most of the basic design in SQL but still find PQ useful for tidying up. My SQL views often have few filters in them because I use the filter tools in PQ. Good for 'Advanced' users but not suitable for 'Normal' people. I need to learn more!

Thanks for the video! Just transitioned accounting software. Old software we used ODBC to pull data into Excel. New software won't let us use ODBC, so this has been immensely helpful to rebuild the tools we already had in place.

Over the last year I really started to use and utilize all of the "free" tools that comes with Microsoft 365 Enterprise such as Forms, Automative, Flows etc. I just started looking into learning and understanding PowerBI and Power Query and those two videos really inspired me to work on my skills to work smarter and faster! Just followed this along on my freshly downloaded 365. Delighted to say it worked flawlessly. A few years ago, I done levels 1 to 3 training courses in Excel (and others). Wow!!! I got to see the real essence of using power query in which I hadn't used it when I consolidate the data. I had a lot of pains doing the report and it took me the whole working hours to finish cleaning it. Why the earth has made my days so bloody when there is such a video teaching this technique. You can use the same feature to directly interrogate online databases too. I have a WordPress-based membership website and use power query to extract out all my membership data, where I then visualise trends, identify new/expired members etc. Every time I open the workbook, it updates itself with up-to-the-second data. Very useful. Btw, not 100% on the new format, but I would at least recommend changing your lighting setup - you have a rather unsettling green tinge around you! The Incredible Kevin! ;-)
