When I try this with my data set I get negative values for the "west value" and "east value" columns which then throws off the x axis of the chart. Not sure how to fix. I followed the formulas. Any advice? My initial data values are smaller so maybe this is the issue.

To be clear when my values are smaller than 45 so when I try to subtract 45 from the data in my east and west columns I get a negative value. Is the 45 a significant value? you don't really explain what that represents and why we need to use that value.

Thnx for your question! In this case you need to replace the 45 with a smaller value. The 45 is only to get a series for the round edges. You need to look for a right value to get nice round edges on your bars.
