Hey Jon, It was really helpful content. Though, during the video, the report data was changed as we changed the state. I was just wondering if you can share the link on that how to change the data as per any specific selection. I would really appreciate that!

Very good video! I'm trying to figure out how to update the data with more lines. How do I name the table when the file is already set up and then how do I get the pivot and slicers to read that table? Anita
@leanderhowardii63083 жыл бұрын
Also, the first data source you showed was a table but didn't do what you showed at the end of the video where it would update the data automatically for you to not have to change the slicers. Correct me if I am wrong, please. Thanks for all your help. I think I see, the first data source is just filtered? The way you are telling us you created a table for the data source. Is that correct?

Is there a way to know which pivot tables have a relationship with one slicer?
@SGEVOL5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I am aware we need to use a table for slicers so that we do not have to update the data source (therefore I tried to use pivot table on the source data as slicer). My objective is to want the slicer to be updated automatically once we click 'refresh'. How do we do that?
@leanderhowardii63083 жыл бұрын
Great video bro. So simply making your data source a table will fix the problem? I am a financial analyst and this could solve my problem of having to update slicers every time we pull new data from Tableau into excel. I look forward to your answer

I have created multiple slicer and connected to multiple pivot table but one of the slicer not return correct value of table. Can I know how to find the error
@cnh80392 жыл бұрын
What to do when this errors comes when we are creating filters for slicers , where we delete the original pivot table and also even though we convert table into excel table in the middle of the process that is when we get this error , does it work ?

Concise explanation and excellent delivery Jon! Thank you! my question now is if its possible to have a shared slicer between pivot tables that come from multiple data sources (different tables in different sheets) if they have a shared data connection (through pivot table)?...would this data connection act as the shared Pivot Cache?
@ExcelCampus7 жыл бұрын
Hi, We can only have shared slicers between pivot tables if the pivot tables share the same pivot cache and data source. We can use Power Pivot to create relationships between data sources, and then use those slicers on multiple pivot tables.
