I’m a teenager (15y/o) who just got a canon eos 5d for a $200 with an EF lens (80-200) for only $100 and started a side hustle which is sport photography. This video helped me so much to capture better photos. Thanks a lot!

Which settings would you recommend with the 7D camera for a sports photoshoot indoors at a martial arts event/seminar? (Dark floor) white walls, semi good lights. Would you use a flash or no? Great video btw.. much appreciated :) Will def keep looking out for other videos like this one on your channel :)

Appreciate the comments. Please subscribe and hit the bell. Its just me doing demos really. I think the same setting will work on 7d vut you do need a 300mm lens. Its all about the lens and lighting really.

if you are a beginner i recomend not to copy the settings and try to understand how they work and create you’re own

I setup my 5dsr simular. One quick (dumb) question do I need to press the focus button (I use rear button) continuously when taking shots of moving objects. Thanks.
@DSLRTRAINING3 ай бұрын
No half press to get i focus...if you are in manuel you will need to adjust the focus points very quick to ensure secent focus on faster motion

A shutter speed is not an aperture. The aperture it the F-stop. You don’t really know the technical details of your camera

@@DSLRTRAINING That was not a hater comment. You misnamed basic settings. You said "the aperture must be quite high", which was a plain wrong instruction when you wanted to say that the shutter speed should be quite high. "Thanks for pointing that out" would have been the appropriate reaction.

As soon as you said adjust your aperture (in the shutter setting) you lost me. Not trying to be rude, but that's a very basic knowledge and before you make a 'tutorial' video. You should take this down and redo it properly and I'll give you a like.

@@DSLRTRAINING when I put in the iso on auto and the shutter speed on 1250 it turned super dark
@Boris-dq3ub3 ай бұрын
@@leviherman.you’re camera probably doesn’t have good iso performance and is probably automatically limited to 3200, so in lower light situations when you need a fast shutter speed it can get dark. make sure you’re aperture is wide (a low number) because that takes light away if its too narrow or reduce the shutter speed, most sports you can get down to 1/500 quite comfortably with only a few bits becoming blurred (the ball in a football game or someones fast moving leg etc). try to keep aperture as low as you can, the shutter speed as low as you can and maybe try the iso on manual to make sure its not keeping it very low for some reason

Some pretty terrible advice in this video. 1. You don't need a 300mm lens to shoot sports. 70-200 2.8 is the most versatile lens out there. 2. You're giving advice but dont know the difference between shutter and aperture? 3. Your lighting and aperture dictate ISO, dont leave it on auto. 4. You say leave file size on medium for continuous burst, but dont give any reasoning. Get yourself a decent CF card and shoot in raw. Stopped watching at 3min and am disappointed i wasted even that much time. What a joke.

if your canon is set to sports mode [canon 750d] how can i change shutter speed
@Bmye1011 Жыл бұрын
70-200mm is versatile, but shooting sports you want two cameras, and if you're shooting something like soccer, football, baseball, cricket, rugby you'll definitely want a 300mm or 400mm to be able to reach across the field.
