Any chance of doing a video on beanies and winter hats now that's it getting colder out? I've had my eyes on that orange one you wore in some of your older videos, but haven't been able to figure out the brand

Kinda concerned about the brim after you crushed it. How do you get that thing back to a consistent look without it being tweaked all the time?
@chasereeves3 жыл бұрын
I saw that when I was editing :) Was the first time I really "crushed" it like that... After wearing it for a couple hours it came almost completely back to smooth yesterday, overnight it stayed flat on the table and now it's it's perfecto. But definitely, the crush-ability means be careful cuz you might look crooked Af.

As always so much extra value in a Chase Reeve's vid👍 Tuned in for a review on a great hat and got a great audio book recommendation to possibly brighten the bulb I might be putting a new Western Rise Versa on.

How did I come in here thinking no way I would care to buy a hat. Then Chase speaks and now I may have to buy the Western Rise one lol.

I Picked up the diversion pant based off your video of it, love them, wore them for about 2 weeks straight everyday and they're about to go in their first wash... That said, Western Rise really has to work on their colors. I picked up the black diversion pant and because of the material they used, the die comes out more like a darker smokey grey when in daylight and only looks black in warmer interior lighting with lots of contrast - not what i wanted, but they fit so well and were comfortable enough that I'm keeping them. That said, it has me worried for the airloft jacket as well as the black version of this hat (both of which I've ordered). When I wrote them about the pants, they admitted it's a material problem and pointed me to the AT slim pant for a truer black, not a fan a super thin pants so I'll probably pass on that, but if the jacket comes out on the lighter side of black I'll be disappointed. When you had their prototype the other month, how dark was that black? I look at the promo photos on their site and what they actually come to market with so far has not been one to one, cautiously optimistic about the hat colors though.

Pretty much my experience as well. Wanted a true black, and it's more of a dark slate. Hopefully they get some actual black pants in.

Only Chase can make a 9 minute video on a hat that I'd watch all the way through lol But I prefer the look of that Dayfarer hat

Can I order it with writing on the hat? Like the word "Chicago" for example?

Totally forgot about this thing since buying a Tillak to hold me over, but I just pledged and am excited! Been wearing their Diversion pants for a few weeks and really dig them.

I have a small head. I’m a 6 7/8 in a sized baseball hat. I am looking for an everyday hat similar to the first two hats mentioned. Would either of these be a good choice? Every hat I find always wrinkles up at the top and it also hits the top of my ears.

I really like hats that have a (not sure about terminology) full back panel. Like no snap back, no strap through a loop. Fully paneled. Stays secure through an elastic interior. I like to use them for sports as a headband basically. If there's a gap, I can't wear it backward for that purpose

I think I'd left a comment about making a video on your hats some weeks ago on Insta... thanks for doing this! So great! As an Italian living in London, always wondered where your Verve hat came from! Hugs from London my friend

IMO a good example of greenwashing is Apple. MacOS is an incredible product, but Apple's been making it harder and harder for users / independent repair shops to fix macs / iphones, so people end up buying new electronics even if all they need is a ram / battery / ssd upgrade :(
@knowyourhistory3 жыл бұрын
Apple Stores are pretty nice because you can bring any electronics to them and they'll recycle it for you. I had some old busted stereo speakers from the 80s and they took them in along with my old iPod from 2005.

the 2nd Hat is much better. Just don't like that dad hat style. You want a bad ass hat check out Melin Brand Hats.

Hard pass-why the branding on the back? Not typical western rise style.

I’ve always thought that any articles of clothing with big, prominent branding on them are promotional items that they should be paying ME to wear.
@chasereeves3 жыл бұрын
Figured some would feel that way so I wanted to get that shot in there showing it. I don't mind it tho. The feel of the fabric and the brim is what gets me. Like nothing else i've encountered.
@TheXx1nfinityxX3 жыл бұрын
Agreed that branding sucks, still shows even if its "tonal."
@WesternRise3 жыл бұрын
There will be a non-branded option to select as well.

Sorry to be a hater since I love gear and your channel but $60 for that hat is criminal. Anyone with any sense can go to a seamstress and order a blank hat with whatever material known to man, and get anything they want put on it for about $13. I get wool snapbacks all the time for that rate with the embroidery included. For people who really wanna travel, document, coexist,and be present and nomadic buying $60 hats aint gonna get you there. Utilitarian sheik is key.

A hat video? Hmmmmmm. Make a video about planning a road trip. That I'd watch. Plane travel is a bit tough, but many of us still want to get away especially before snow on the north east, and everyone over packs for a road trip. This is a bit......off? Help us slim down for even a possible road trip conbined with camping? Just an idea from someone who needs to GTFO.
@chasereeves3 жыл бұрын
10 Road Trip Tips: 1. have snacks 2. everyone has a water bottle, then a 2+ gallon container to fill bottles in the care. 3. good background music (open.spotify.com/user/chasereeves has playlists) 4. everyone has their own "oh shit it just got cold" jacket (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qF6Te6SCj6uEaNE) 5. everyone's got a swimsuit (you never know. probably good to put some towels in the car too). 6. prepare some good podcasts/audio books (do what's possible to keep the peace and cater to everyone) 7. live tweet and share your thoughts as you go (or even better, keep a journal: matterful.co/c/carry-accessory#note) 8. stop often for pees on the side of the road if possible. Keep large toilet paper roll in the center console. 9. when things get tense, don't be afraid to pull over and run around the car or find a river to jump in. 10. don't make this a rule if you don't have to, but work to keep your own language positive whenever possible (negative energy, man). I'll stop there for now. Great suggestion!
