That neck joint is such a weird choice - I guess maybe it's to allow you to easily pop it off if so it's not visible if you go for the "split tail" look in combined mode? Other than that the toy looks fantastic though, this set has been excellent so far!

5:49 how much would leaving his tail up in the toy formation limit the shoulder's upward range? The way it appears to bracket the head slightly in the toon lowered position suggests it will run into the head in the toy formation.

Don’t forget to flip the top of the helicopter face back up when vortex is in his combiner arm mode, it allows for a cleaner look

There is actually a 90 degree ab crunch, it’s just pretty tight out of the box and there is a tab that keeps the waist Locked in place

Great video! Looking at various pics for this guy, I think there actually is an ab crunch just above the combiner elbow, right at the little square on the bottom of his torso. Also, if you don't mind me asking, when do you plan on releasing the part 2 videos for Brawl and Swindle? I also would love for you to release part 2 of the yellow Devastator review from a little while ago. Other than that, keep up the great work!

Great review man! I think the reason they probably designed the head to be on a peg instead of a ball joint is probably for easy removal when combined with bruticus in g1 style, so you don’t have the head poking out

Waiting for all of them to be released and sell as a bundle, just like their Devastator. The transformation is a pain in the ass, but the alt mode, robot mode, and combiner just look great.

I left a comment a month ago but I'm just dropping by, after getting this guy myself, to say that there *is* an ab crunch. It's just that the upper torso is tabbed in where the joint is, so it doesn't feel like it's there at first.

Small thing I really like is the way the parts move inside the shin when you tilt the foot down. A shame about the peg neck but ehh... At the end of the day, I find myself transforming these figures more than posing them, so maybe that's not too big a deal for me. And the transformation on this guy looks like a ton of fun! I'm looking forward to Bruticus, but now I honestly wonder how often I'll keep him combined. He'll probably be coming apart a lot!

There should be, the combiner torso would be blue instead of grey, and it has a couple extra detail lines on the prototype.
