Can't wait for mine to come in as I wanted to watch some reviews first. Only thing wrong is the combiner feet is miscolored as that's the toy look white this should be the toon look. Doesn't take away from this and I'll probably just repaint it myself if need be.

I was on the fence with what MP constructicons I wanted, Xtransbots or Fantoys, but in reality I want a Magic squares MP size Constructicons.

Was the legends scale light of victory with the cell shaded windows a repaint from MS? Or custom?

Hmm... I just made a thorough comparison to the original model of the Generation 1 cartoon, and it seems to me that in robot modes, New Age's version is more accurate from the waist up. Grimlock's cartoon model is really not that beefy. From the waist down, however, MS-B56 is definitely more accurate. I don't even count the paint as an advantage for New Age, since Magic Square will likely release a painted version, too, at some point. Yet, despite that I would be very torn on which one to choose if was just for the robot modes. However, when comparing the dinosaur modes, Magic Square is the clear winner here. It's taller in size and more accurate to the cartoon model. New Age's version is simply too small, and that belly-chest line does not look good from the side. I don't collect Transformers figures of this scale, but if I did, my choice would be MS-B56.

This looks amazing! I would really like to try this figure on my own. However, I do not dare to order it for myself, simply because I want Bruticus to look as cartoon accurate as possible. The leg parts shown in this video are not the cartoon version. I don't know whether that will be sold separately in the future, but when Magic Square previously released this Brawl figure in a smaller scale, both a cartoon version and an IDW version (with a grey leg part like in this video) were released as separate figures. That is why I suspect the same will happen with this bigger scale figure as well. So I am going to wait and see if a cartoon version with a green leg part will be released later.

I think the B27F but with the thighs/crotch/ribs painted slightly metallic like the EX and the head sculpt of the B46 would be damn near perfect.

Looks good but I can see the fake parts, and I'm really not a fan of that or the super-toon aesthetic. Hide the waist wheels, sure, but no need to do that for the leg wheels. The angle legs are also not a great look. Too toon-like. Something MP-1 got right that I wish newer figures would do is the moving mouthplate. I miss that feature. It's better than SS86 by having the side skirts. I'd like to see something like this in SS86 scale.

Thought it was weird that they chose this character to do this after Optimus, but think they chose this cause not really much competition for a Bruticus Combiner in the Masterpiece space as well as if they hit it out of the park with this release not only does it show they can do good G1 Masterpiece representation, including for lesser known or appreciates characters, but it'll generate hype for yet another company that can do Combiners well

God I need this to open the door for more Legends scale figure upscales. Need Magic Square to upscale stuff like their Dinobits so we can finally have G1 Accurate MP Dinobots. And maybe get them to push Newage to finally start upscale some of their stuff like their Arcee. Probably won't happen but would love to see something like the Newage Omega Supreme upscaled as well

Looks amazing. Will wait for a box set when they inevitably release it with cartoon accurate foot colors (should match the tank's green, not be grey like the toy). Of course that's only if it's good enough to replace my Zeta in combined mode. This bot mode is WAAAAYYY better than Zeta individual bots but their combiner looks so good.

My only question is when will we finally get a new legends mold? Seems like legends are being put on the back burner but there’s still lots of characters to go!
