I have a Fanatec shifter but if Aiologs would come out with an H pattern/SQ combo like Fanatec, I'd jump the Fanatec ship instantly. Aiologs gear looks fantastic.

Just received my Aiologs shifter yesterday. It was the prize I got after winning a high quality DR2.0 club championship. And I must say, it is an absolute gem. Great quality materials, extremely easy to use and have working because it's basically an instant plug&play piece of gear and the feel it gives when driving is absolutely stellar. I won the shifter and I'm seriously considering to get the handbrake as well. And as you mentioned, the way it is priced compared to the quality of the product, is incredible.

Oh I will add, I had the same issue with the thread coming loose. Right hand side mounted, so it’s either side (gloves), also bass shakers.. I think they should include thread lock or have a nylon lock nut in the base. As it happens a lot with out it.

Love my shifter from Aiologs, best shifter for the money in my opinion just feels more engaging and rewarding compared to the fanatec in sequential mode. I can also say there customer service is best I have been on the receiving end of. One point i see missed in review is that there is software included that can be used to change the colour of the led light within the shifter or turn it off other than that great review.

Now this is what I call a solid review. Great job Will, as usual. I have to say, considering I can't afford two shifters, for now will have to skip this one although it works great and looks even better. Kinda reminds me on the little thingies guitar players use. Probably my g29 shifter will get a Fanatec upgrade one day, I guess. Handbrake maybe, but Akina one has adjustment options. About desensitising on new products you get, c'mon, that is honest but you do realize that you do what you love? Isn't that the point of happiness? To find what you love and die happy? I work as an accountant and I just recently started my own SIM racing channel. How I wish to get even near where you are right now. Lot's of work too, but at least the work I would love to do. Really loved your honest last video about things in SIM racing right now, that was really sweet. Bye

Two main cons I see with the Aiologs is availability and shipping. Pretty sure the September batch was sold out very quick, next expected delivery is November. and shipping from Russia means all eu countries are hit with import tax/VAT on top of the base price and pricy shipping. But OMG, I want a set. 🤩 Fanatec shifter/handbrake combo will probably win my $$$ because they are in stock, and the build in H-pattern mode.

Actually, I live in Belgium and so my tax that I paid on both shifter and the handbrake was actually something like 20/40euro’s so this wasn’t really expensive at all if you send the right documents to customs in time. I wanted something fun without getting super into the rabbit hole of spending a a lot of money on Fanatec gear. In the 24th minute you mentioned that the Fanatec shifter feels more realistic, as if you were getting the feeling of actually moving a gear into place. I’ve no idea what kind of vehicle you might be referring to because ALL gearboxes in production cars and bikes, and almost every race vehicle/gearbox too, are CONSTANT MESH designs, regardless if they are H-pattern or sequential. In which vehicle have you ever been one to feel ANY gears moving anywhere? I enjoy most of your reviews as you’re generally correct with respect to most of the technical aspects you might comment upon during your review. So I’m just very surprised to hear you make such an inane statement. Surely, with all the cars you’ve owned no the number of tracks you’ve taken them to, and the numerous times you’ve been to those trucks, I find it difficult to believe that you would actually think that car gearbox works by physically moving gears into position to mesh an input gear with the corresponding output gear when nothing of the sort ever happens. I’m guessing you more than likely write out a script for your reviews, or at the very least, a long list of points to mention during a review. Either way, perhaps you need to perform a more thorough proof reading to get rid of statements which are not even remotely accurate or true. Anyway, keep up the (mostly) great reviews you put out and I do appreciate that you seem to have n unbiased opinion and view towards most, if not all brands (a.k.a. being paid by manufacturers to put out a review, which should more accurately be called a very long advertisement-which I’m glad you don’t do ;-) Just my 2cents worth…
