Too bad it's not on KZbin as this documentary is so well produced. I've never heard Islamic art and architecture explained in this way anywhere. It belongs now to the lofty scholars.

i would suggest that you read Art of Islam by Titus Bukhart, it is one of the best books on the subject. he explains the origin and the meaning behind the islamic arts and study profoundly the influences that affected the birth of the islamic art as we see it today
