Gracia, you are so beautiful! And I don't feel so alone anymore after viewing tons of videos like yours on KZbin. I've been dealing with this problem for 35 yrs now (since puberty). I was put on birth control at the age of 13 to regulate my periods, and developing facial hair was the lovely gift that came along with it. I've never been able to afford any type of laser or electrolysis treatments, or any of the expensive medications on the market. So, I've had to pluck and shave my way through the past 35 years. Up until recently, I thought I was all alone. I was shunned by many throughout high school and my adult life because I had facial hair. It crushed my self esteem completely. Although I've had several relationships over the years, and was even married once... I blame not being able to find the right man on the fact that I had this horrible condition. I never had the self esteem to talk to the type of men I knew would make me happy, so I always settled for the ones that treated me badly. I felt I didn't deserve any better than that. I was always so jealous of beautiful women that didn't have a clue what struggling with real issues felt like. But, I now know that I wasn't so alone all these years after all. This is something hundreds of thousands (or more) of women are dealing with, just like me, and have been hiding it all these years, just like me. Although I've always been told I was pretty, I never felt like I was because I was hiding this dirty secret. And if people only knew, they wouldn't feel the same towards me anymore. I felt ashamed. Anyways, it's beautiful and brave women, just like you, and their followers on KZbin, that have helped me to feel better about this condition, and have shared their own stories with all of us out there in hopes of possibly helping them to do something about it. I've found a few different homemade recipes on here that have worked for others, that are cheap and effective. I'm going to try them all to see which one works best for me, as I know what works for one, may not work for all. It always makes me feel just a little bit better after every video I watch on here about women battling facial hair, knowing that I'm not alone, and that women like you have decided to share their experience with others in hopes to help them find a remedy to finally put an end to this embarrassing condition. I can't thank you enough. Sending my love and gratitude your way. xo❤xo PS - sorry for the novel. I just wanted to let you know how much you've helped me and so many other women feel better about themselves. God bless you. ❤

Wow, your comment is one of the 1st things I read this morning and I am so thankful for it. It took so much for me to share something so personal on the internet, but I truly felt led to do it, and so badly wanted to help others going through it because it had been such a thorn in my side for so long. You are also beautiful, and I have to say that the man that God has for you will love you just as you are, I believed that for myself and still believe it for you and any other women struggling with this. Your comment means the world to me, and I had originally told myself that if this video made even just one person feel better about themselves it would have served it purpose, and I'm glad to see that it's done more than that. Big hugs to you and thanks again for the lovely comment. xoxo Gracia

Hormonal imbalance is the root cause. But there is also spiritual energy imbalance: the tougher/more stressed a woman get (i.e juggling many duties, feeling responsible for everything, not having enough support), the more hair she will grow on her chin/neck. Our bodies are telling us to nurture our feminine energies, slow down and not be "over-reactive". Sadly, our societies are gearing us towards becoming superwomen as a way to survive (i.e relying on testosterone-fueled behaviours); this is especially true when you grow up without a "reliable male presence" (father, brother, uncle, friend, etc) to balance you out. Healing your soul is the first step to solving your physical issue. Stay safe and look after yourselves no-matter-what. All the best.

Thank you for sharing. I know how you felt, I have the same issue where I would shave every day. In the cold season i would wear scarves just hide it. But in the summer I would have to shave every single day. I decided to do laser hair removal 2yrs ago, that didn't work well for me, as a matter of fact it stimulates more hair growth in my cheeks which I I didn't used to have hair in those areas. So now I m looking into doing electrolysis, which is approved by the FDA as the only permanent hair removal. I can't wait to be facial hair free.

It's been a few videos on this topic surfacing recently, a lot of them being from black women. Man I literally thought for 20 years me and my mom were the only 2 females on earth that had hair on their faces. What a comfort to know I'm not alone. OK so I didn't think we were the only 2 literally but growing up when I saw women with facial hair they weren't even barely cute. Not at all. Now I'm seeing different methods of removal and seeing black girl that look like me going through the same problem. It's refreshing

I feel so miserable at times, when it first started it was sparse on my neck then I plucked them and about 4 more grew back stronger, fast forward 8 yrs, it's darkened and scarred and dry on my neck due to plucking, I can't have laser as the lady said they are sporadic hairs not close together I may get burned by the laser. I can't count the amount of times I've felt so self conscious and some ppl instead of talking to my face look at my neck, I hate that the most, when I see someone glance with a look like whats that? I get so down at times because I wish I didn't have to worry about this, also wearing make up to hide the scars I don't even like applying thick make up. seeing it get worse and scarred I think how will my poor neck look in 10 years with the scarring.

Hello there, you popped up in my feed today and thank you! Really appreciate your info about facial hair, I've struggled with it since my 30s (I'm 51 now) and have tried so many things. I had it confirmed that mine was totally hormonal so none of the remedies were guaranteed to be permanant. But I haven't tried laser; I'm thinking maybe AFTER menopause! In the meantime, I do waxing and threading and use a spin brush to keep the pores in that area super clean and exfoliated. I use Cerevie as my main moisturizer and follow up with a moisturizer with sunscreen so the hyper-pigmentation does not remain permanent. The sun is not in our favor as far as dark spots, so use that sunscreen young ladies! BTW, your hair is fierce!

Thanks for sharing! I just want to affirm that you did not cause your hairs to come back when you shaved when you were younger. That is a myth. Shaving does make hair seem to grow back thicker because the hair gets getting to the root, so when you shave the thinner tops off, the new shaft under the skin pushes the thick (previously cut) shaft up from the follicle. It will continue to be thick until that thin tip from the new shaft comes out, but with shaving, that is usually cut quickly. This is why I prefer plucking, hard waxing, and epilating, because it removes the hair from the root.

I actually use to shave and it grow so fast and it leaves like dark spots. But now I either tweeze or thread because I find that it don't grow back that thick or fast. I would love to do laser but it's not in my budget to give it a try

I did threading for two years every Friday for two years in a row. and it did give a great smooth look for temporarily until it starts growing back within the week. spent lots of money on that and waxing never worked for me nair only burned me badly I've wanted to try Lazer or epilator at home. it's so embarrassing and my oncologist said to just keep shaving and threading because Lazer was not good.

Thank you so much for your video🙂You are an amazing and beautiful woman. I suffer excessive hair on my chin, upper lip and side burns. I do feel that I’m not beautiful sometimes because of this excessive hair all over my face and I have some people when growing up mistakenly as a boy instead of a girl. I have done some laser hair removal a long time ago, but then just stop was getting a little to expensive. Should have a cheaper one but just decided to forget about the whole thing and just stick to shaving and waxing, but I think I might we consider it again. Thank you for sharing you story and God Bless you and your family🙂🙂🙂

I live in Calgary too! I didn't start getting hairs on my neck and chin till i was diagnosed with pcos when I was 19, I'm 21 now. The hair want as visible, but a few months back I wanted to get a full body wax cause I was going on holiday. Worst descion ever, I got ingrown hairs all over my body, the worst in my face and the hairs grew back more and thicker. Currently in uni and feeling VERY self conscious and really embarrassed about it. I try to avoid anything to do with picking cause I always get the same reaction. But I still get my eyebrows threaded. I'm looking into electrolysis and weather to consult a dermatologist. My mum says that I excercise and eat better it would elevate summer of the effects of pcos, but I funny know if these hairs would ever fully go away

I’m so relieved to find a woman who struggles with the extra hair and conceived. I have been trying to conceive for half a year now, and only just started thinking maybe I have pcos since I have the extra facial hair. I have regular periods, no acne and am a fine weight though. So it really wasn’t Til I researched the reasoning for excessive facial hair that I started to panic that maybe I have pcos and am infertile. But seeing that you conceived gives me hope! Does that mean you have pcos and conceived? Or is the hair just genetics? Thank you for making this video! This is such a hard topic to find info on!

Laser is not to blame for the hair growing back. You need to take care of the unbalanced hormones first. And what some people take for laser is nothing more than pulsed light and that in effect isn't permanent. In my country laser is quite common and I know loads of women who done it and are hair free. I've been doing it myself but I've very thin light hair so my results aren't expected to be as good. Still I can see that the thicker ones have almost disappeared already and only had 5 sessions. Tried electrolysis a few years ago and it was a painful waste of time. Forgot to say that as our body doesn't stop producing hair we need to go back once a year for maintenance.

I have a blonde goatee, and it’s peach fuzz. No one at school seems to notice, and my family swears they can’t see it. But whenever I look in the mirror under a light it looks so shiny and long and noticeable. And when I looked at the other girls they all had perfect smooth skin and no hair. It makes me feel so bad about myself. And I’m realizing this is probably because of puberty, and I know I shouldn’t be complaining, but my self esteem is at an all time low, while my social anxiety is at an all time high. What am I going to do? I’m so paranoid!

Stay alive!! You bring something to the world by being here! You don't know how much you mean to God. Jesus loves you. Do not leave before your time! Hopefully we can all sort out this tricky hairy situation we all seem to be in. It is hard. I use tweezers often. Listen to good music. Send a sweet message to a friend! Make a piece of art. Write an expression of how you are feeling- maybe through poetry It can be quite cathartic. You will get through this. I think hair grows more when I am stressed in probably any form stress comes, some worse than other kinds. Are you under some stress right now? I hope you know you are more than the condition and situation you are in. Take care of yourself well. Treat yourself like you are precious, like you are a beautiful gem! Rare. Lovely. Loved by God. Meant to be here. One of a kind. Worthy of Love. Precious.

Jowairiya Arabian I’ve been using spear mint tea for 4 months and I honestly don’t see any difference. However, that could be because my diet is bad. I think if you get your diet under control ( low carb, no dairy, no gluten , minimise processed food and meat products and no coffee ) and use supplements ( magnesium , vitamin D, zinc , omega 3 , evening primrose etc ) it might work. I’m going to do these things and see if the hair reduces

I waxed my stach and chin then applied that cream 5 minityes later. This has worked luke a miracle. From a girl that have gone thru this take this advice. The creame is expensive but i bought it and it works. I worked over time just for that creame. There is hope
