Davey, I loved your face when you talked about conjugation of verbs. I took 4 years in high school and 2 semesters in college of Spanish and I don't know how she doesn't know that word either! Tell Nacho that a neighbor of mine back mid to late 80’s had a exchange student for several years who played soccer in high school. He went on to play soccer in college. I have not seen him in years the parents did think of him as a son.

I feel like it's not Daisy's fault that she struggles to tell what she learned in Spanish. We had an American exchange student who took Spanish in the States and took Spanish here in Germany and she was impressed by how different languages were taught. I have no idea what they are doing in the states exactly but in Germany teachers only speak to you in the language you are supposed to learn (they rarely switch to German if it's something utterly important where the details have to be right) and after very few weeks of learning a new language you are expected to be able two write short simple texts etc. Basically you are taught by immersion which forces you to learn the language much quicker.

Conguating verbs r supposed to taught n elementary English lessons. Teachers don't teach like they used to. I was taught about the pilgrims in elementary but my 13 & 15 yr old granddaughters know nothing about them. My 15 year old is learning Spanish from her friend next door
