I’m with you. I loved this scene, enjoyed every second of it when I was in it, everything from building stages, passing out water working for Insomniac (pretty cool to see that paycheck), volunteering at Tomorrow World in 14 (we ended up taking a Greyhound from Orlando to that one lmao- just the bus was an adventure), but being in the scene is exhausting. Something about enjoying this music completely sober reminds me that it IS about the music. I have a really open mind when it comes to music, truly one of the ‘I enjoy all kinds of music’ people… I think I said that to someone once when we drove together for the first time. They played an artist I love now and wouldn’t listen to if it weren’t for them. Anyway, it’s freeing to enjoy all of this sober. It’s true if you don’t need anything to fog the memory or mind to enjoy it. Side-note: what do I do if I think someone is poisoning/drugging me without my knowledge…? Maybe even with my own medication I used to take for sleeping? If I go to the health dept are they able to run a tox screen?

This is right now, my most favorite/iconic piece I’ve ever been able to witness. Good, great, perfect, There is really no word to this one for me.. I’m 30 yrs old, I’ve been in a band before, I’ve been a part of “2” Full Length albums, 2 ep’s, Toured consistently, Charted I forget which numbers, the list goes on. But I lost all of that.. lost my brothers. Became lonely, alcoholic and majorly ill.. by that I mean I was pronounced dead on Sep 23rd 2022. It was a miracle on why I’m here but I’m barely hanging on still with stage 4 end stage liver cirrhosis and the heart is getting weaker by the year. Liver Doc says I have around 3 to 5 years of life but man I’m two in and it’s already acting up. Just got out the er again yesterday for it. I’m now anemic, But anyway… This song sets my soul on fire.. I feel like she is speaking to my western silhouette here in Arizona. I could lay down drums to this like a beast!! 💯
