Iranians are very dramatic in many ways, but I can’t figure out if this is just for show or for real. If it’s for real that young man has to grow a pair and stand up to his father and it sounds like it’s not his bio dad but a step father, which is even a greater reason to stand up to him. He is a kind young man, but he also comes across as rather immature. The bright young woman with two kids might be better off with a man who doesn’t behave like a little kid.
