Hello Janette, Richard and Lottie I'm so happy that Richard has been properly diagnosed and is receiving top quality medication and treatment. Is it something that can be cured,or is it now an illness in that has to be managed forever? I know this is unrelated to his health,but my aunt had diabetes for 50 years. So many bad stories about that illness, yet she lived until 85 years old( on medication of course) . She lived a full life. Was not wheelchair bound. And enjoyed her life.One can never tell. For Richard and yourself I wish my aunties lifespan,and hope he is ABLE to enjoy life. Not just waiting for the next tablet and counting the hours. His voice is fantastic. I would listen to him anywhere. Janette you should be PROUD of yourself. His wife,his best friend and carer. So much involved looking after a loved one. Your new garden design project sounds amazing. Please vlog as much as you can. I'm always greedy for more ( plants included 😂). The weather is acceptable for winter. Managed 2 hours outside. Nearly pitch black now and it's only 16.08. Love and festive greetings to you all❤❤🎄🎄🎁🎁You have made a big difference to my life also. I was quite low in spirits when I found your channel and you gave me a zest to keep striving in my garden,which I loved but was going nowhere with it. I will publish my next novelet soon😂🤣😂🤣

His disease is not something that will ever go away unfortunately but hopefully with the right medication it can be controlled and so that is what we are hoping for. And I think now that he has accepted the fact he has to retire, he can move forward. And also the fact he has a proper diagnosis is a relief. So that’s good. Awe, I’m sorry for Richard, I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Austio Arthritis…along with Fibromyalgia. Since I was about 30. I am now 65. I feel like mine is manageable, my right hand is narely and I can’t close it but I can get my gardening gloves on and I will not stop! I love your garden and have enjoyed your videos..thank you for the song Richard you have a nice voice. Get rest and never stop doing what you enjoy.

Really great to hear from you all, and hear Richard has been diagnosed and can start his recovery while learning to navigate its symptoms . As a nurse with issues I’ve learned along with all the drugs needed to manage the problems, diet is equally important. You would be surprised how avoiding certain foods can impact on one health as well. Knowing what the limits are and excepting the blessings. Keep your spirits up enjoying what you have. That was great to see Richard singing again and all the Christmas decorations of last year but so very sorry to hear of the health problems. We never know what lies ahead of us. I hope the treatment will be successful for him. As ever I love your garden in all weathers, you’ve definitely got ‘an eye’ for design and if you ever want to consult on garden design can I be your second customer. I have a large patch that I don’t know what to do with. I’m trying to make a woodland area with seating but can’t quite visualise at the moment. Thoughts and prayers for Richard. A couple years ago, I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis in my spine. At one point, my hands were in the shape of claws, i could not lift my arms, cut my meat or even lift a cup of tea with one hand. I was in a wheel chair could barely walk and needed my kids to lift my legs to get into bed. It is a horrible debilitating disease. Trying to find the right medication for me, I am doing great. I use a biologic injection once a week and just had my fourth surgery, 3 related to the arthritis and the fourth was from a fall. All the best to you and Richard. I loved hearing and seeing Richard sing. Merry Christmas. I am looking forward to getting back in my garden next year. Sending prayers from Canada 🇨🇦

Poor Richard. So sorry for just seeing this. I am a little slow since the holidays! Just wanted to let you know that you can get the arthritis under control. I also have a lot of issues with this. I see a naturopath doctor. They put me on a cleanse and I do not eat gluten, but I have also learned that ancient grains being ground at home as you need them (called berries) are great for health. Keeping sugar away really really helps. I am praying for Richard...and for you, sweetie! It is hard to see your love hurt and suffer. Happy New Year Janette! By the way, my doc's name is Janette! And she also helps people in other countries!!

Oh my goodness! I just had to say that you & Richard have been on my mind today & that I certainly understand what you both have been going thru. Just sorry that it has happened at a young age. (well…younger than my husband & I are.) Life certainly can take a turn. I’m dealing with a husband with early signs of dementia & prostate cancer (which he denies any treatment for.) We’ve had a stressful 3 years with the loss of my mom, loss of my son in law, my 2 senior dogs & my husband had a stroke a yr ago. Due to all the stress, I have now developed AFIB (an irregular heartbeat) & now take meds to keep it beating normally. (Watch your stress levels) We are in our early 70’s but neither of us felt it & always had good health until lately. We have no family close by so it’s just me & my husband. It’s tough having 3 daughters who live over 4-1/2 hrs away to 14 hrs away. It’s scary. They are all the family we have. You are so right…our health is truly the most important thing & we don’t realize it until our health starts to fail. Just know that I’m sending lots of love your way & you both will be in my prayers. You must feel frustrated that your husband refuses treatment but they can be so stubborn and you cannot make a grown man do something he doesn’t want to do. You must focus on yourself, find things to do that give you pleasure and enjoyment and I hope you’ve told your daughters how you are feeling? Don’t be the one who shoulders all the burdens alone.
