My husband and I have fun money too! We don't do things in cash like you but have a similar system connected to our bank account. I think it's ssssoooo nice to have those separate "fun piles" so that we can do what we want without feeling like we're overspending on personal fun and there's NEVER any "bitterness" that one person may be spending more on fun stuff than the other! It really works for us!

My favorite channel to get motivated for cleaning, organizing, etc is Brittany's channell called Vasseur Beauty! She's in San Diego, plus she had a new baby who is freaking adorable. Definately recommend her channel! I love the fake flowers at the dollar store, they look so great and last forever!

Make sure you get a tub for his food that is a container for food. Lowes sells them in 5 gallon buckets the white is for food. We keep bulk flour in them and one for sugar 20 lb bags

Rachelle, tell your Mom to fix her up a nursery at her house!! That's what I did with our first granddaughter, our Maddy Beth turned 7 in January and I still have her complete nursery in one of our guest rooms! Haha! It was sooooo fun getting to design and decorate a nursery after all these years! Our daughter and her husband of course had their nursery at their house, too. I got to pick out a beautiful white canopy crib and I made all the bedding for it and just decorated until my heart was content! Our daughter loved that I did it also because of course we got to keep the baby for them a lot and we had everything we needed at our house, too! It's sooooo fun being a grandparent, best thing in the world! I'm soooooo happy for you and your sweet family!

It really has felt like I, myself got to have another baby with having our granddaughter and I had way more fun this time around in decorating a nursery, our budget was very tight when we were having our own babies but with a grandchild, you just get to go all out, haha!

I use the organizer baskets in the nursery, I use them to put diapers in under the change table, I use them for medicine and baby clothes and his towels etc. They are useful. I also use them under the sink as well to store cleaning products. I get them at our local Dollar Store as well. Look at you on a roll. My budget tip: Stay OUT of the Beauty/Toiletry aisle when doing grocery shopping.. I was always a sucker for "There is a shampoo/moisturizer/cleanser/body wash that i haven't tried yet"... NO!!! Now i bulk buy my 'favorites' at the start of the year and that is it. Any Personal item that you could think of, i have enough to last me another 10 months. (which doesn't really look like a lot when it is all out) Those sort of items are soooo expensive and took up soo much of my grocery budget. Now i can budget just for food weekly..

ah yes, Dot from Do it on a Dime. Yeah I watch her from time to time. I just don't live in a house right now. Sooooo I organize my small living space in a way that works for me. There is a way to organize your pantry using vinyl shoe racks which I had to modify for my living situation. Very helpful for any sized living space. So glad to see you feeling energetic. Comgradulations on the beautiful babies brynn and the new baby. It took yrs for my husband and i to get pregnant we couldnt afford to get pregnant any other way. Finally we were blessed with a handsome baby boy named clint. Hes almost 5 yrs old august 10. I def learned to not buy into all these high end $$$$ brands. Ive never been about the brands amd that def something i dont want my kid to notice because.kids in school can be mean.as a navy widow and single momma its $$$.
