I went through this in my late thirties early forties . Really bad night sweats. Periods stopped at 46 . Then Anxiety started . It’s a battle for sure . I am glad you are talking about it because people don’t. HRT made me more depressed . The things that help me the most is limit sugar, wheat. Get out for a walk I go to the beach with my dog . My oldest children live away and my youngest is autistic. And became a single mum 6 years ago . We got this , you are doing the right things xxx

I would have thought you were too young for peri menopause but your symptoms are very similar to mine but I’m 50. I keep waking up in a state of panic, my anxiety is through the roof and for no reason whatsoever. Mine is cyclical and I’ve also been suffering with severe insomnia. I’ve never suffered with anxiety before and this makes me feel detached from reality at times. I’ve had to go outside and breathe in air as I feel like I’m suffocating sometimes. I’m on HRT now but I’ve had to have the dose upped so we’ll see how I go. It’s really horrible and I totally understand where you are coming from. I love watching your videos as you are such a real genuine person.X

Hi Marie, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve suffered with the same symptoms. The waking up in a panic is just a feeling I cannot explain but it’s not nice and can just throw your whole day off. I completely can relate to going outside to take deep breaths of fresh air! I do that a lot. I hope you are ok and thank you so much for sharing. It’s a nice feeling to at least know we are not alone xxx

I am pre menopausal ( have been told that until my periods stop completely ) as I still have maybe 2 a year. I am suffering terribly with my anxiety and shut myself off too, I get very tearful for absolutely no reason. I have been offered HRT but have refused it, I am currently researching natural remedies to help instead.

You do for you hun.......I am 63 and still having problems with my hormones and my anxieties are so bad I hate going outside even, but I try to stay positive. You are such a lovely person with a wonderful family, I always see you so cheerful and positive and found myself wishing I could be more like you. I have been going through the change since my late 30's had the coil fitted which helped and had it removed when I was 56......now for the last 6 yrs my periods came back. I had tests, a histeroscopy then 3 yrs later I have had a biopsy and they decided to put a coil back in but since then which was early march this yr I was constantly bleeding and just settling down this last 2wks. So sorry to give a long run down on me but as I say you do what you want for yourself and not to worry about others. Most of your followers will always be here for you no matter what. Take care ❤xx

I feel for you I really do, what you describe is exactly how I used to feel for about 10days a month and it was utterly horrendous!! Mine got worse and worse over 7months and I got to the point I wanted to walk out of my home and just disappear or i would have ended up hurting myself if i hadnt done anything, I felt awful, I had the implant which stopped my periods and I've never looked back! The best thing I have done!!! That was nearly 9 years ago and I am 43 this year and I dread to think where I'd be if I hadn't had it done, not saying it would work for everyone but it definitely worked for me, wishing you all the best as I know exactly what you are experiencing xx

Listen to me carefully. I was the same for the 3 years after having my baby. Snapping at her and my husband for no reason, being paranoid that people at work were against me and trying to take my job, angry at my friends for being happy and rational……my doctor prescribed Escitalopram and I haven’t looked back I am a new person. Speak to your GP, j don’t take them all the time just when I get in the down spiral. You’re gonna be fine and you’re gonna sort this all out, but please don’t feel like you’re alone, I look in the mirror and feel like crap but then someone on the school run will say I look so healthy today- it’s perception! They both help to balance your hormones. You are just lush and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!! I also make KZbin videos and get the odd nasty/negative comments, like you I also delete! We sound so similar as people, I started to struggle from the age of 40 (now 46) and knew there was changes but got fobbed off every time. Drs don’t take Perimenopause seriously until the age of 45 which I think is disgusting as you can suffer for 10 years! I’m now on HRT but also take Sage capsules as they are supposed to be good. I still suffer with periods and ovulating each month and as well as working full time plus KZbin it’s hard going and like you sometimes don’t upload for a while. We are only human and a lot of people don’t realise how much time and effort goes into these videos. Just carry on being the beautiful soul you are ❤️ I only live about an hour away if you ever wanted to talk xxxx

Anxiety and depression and all the feelings you say you feel about yourself are awful to live with Juliette. I completely understand why you find it hard to even describe it all. I've lived with the same thing since childhood and the self doubt and feeling not good enough are probably the hardest part to cope with. I was taking hormone supplements in my teens as part of my problems would be worse at certain times of the month, but also anxiety and depression was something I saw in some adults around me and because I was a sensitive child it got me bullied so that made it all worse. Also on the subject of what people may say to you online. There are some vile people out there who use the internet to say stuff to youtubers or vloggers/influencers and I don't think they even realise that you are human and you have feelings and words can hurt, even if they are just typed to you and may not be meant in a bad way..when you are inundated with multiple comments every day, even when the majority are good comments, you will focus on the ones which upset you. Personally, I find you very realistic and refreshing to watch. You don't brag and don't put a foot wrong flower, honestly. Even if you did, you still wouldn't deserve the ramblings of vexed viewers who want to moan at you over stuff. Hark at me, I'm rambling now lol. I just understand that you're a kind person who wants to please your viewers and who wants to be realistic and relatable..and you take things to heart a lot which I for one definately understand. People you know may tell you that you over think or over analyse stuff.....but people with anxiety, depression, hormonal fluctuations cannot help doing that. It's who we are. Sorry for babbling on. Just do videos when you feel like doing them. It's like with friendships, we can go weeks without speaking to a good friend, but it doesn't make us think any less of them. You have to take care of yourself, and know that those of us who enjoy your videos won't mind as long as you are ok. Sending love to you. xxxx Sorry for writing a novel in your comment section

Hi Juliette, im 43 and can completely empathise with the rage out of no where, not wanting to talk to people and defo the anxiety. To be honest theres loads more on top of that for me, aches and pains restless leg etc etc. You arent on your own and tbh theres prob an element of all these symptoms that wont go away until the menopause has passed 😕 However doing the things you are like making yourself feel better with diet and exercise etc, plus taking oil of evening primrose and b12 are meant to be beneficial although it might be a good idea to consult your GP (id ask to see a female dr or nurse practitioner). Have wanted a folding treadmill for so long! Will defo check this out 😊 Keep your chin up, you can only please some of the people some of the time, people can be ridiculous at times 🩷

It’s so hard to explain and describe these feelings. My hormones were up and down and I felt the same as you did. My GP said that quality of life was important and as much as I wanted to do things naturally, I eventually gave in and am now on HRT hormone gel. It has helped so much but I have to keep telling myself I am not adding anything, just replacing what is lost. Why don’t you have a blood test to see where your hormone levels are. Just wanted to say I love you to bits and you absolutely don’t need to apologise or justify yourself. There are people who live for drama and keyboard warriors that like to make others feel rubbish to make themselves feel better, but the majority of us watch KZbin for our own enjoyment and if I don’t like a certain style of someone’s videos or a particular video for whatever reason, I just don’t watch. We don’t pay you to show up every week, so you don’t owe us anything if you need to take time for your lovely self. You are human and you have a life and a family just like everyone else so you and your family should always be priority. Aww Juliette, I feel your pain. I'm through the worst of it now. But I had mood swings, night sweats and anxiety. I found that evening primrose capsules helped me. I love to see anything you put on KZbin. I feel like I've got a connection with you. My husband and his family come from Birmingham. We now live in Lincolnshire. I understand the crying, I've just had a brain tumour operation and it's left me with my emotions very sensitive. I cry at anything and feel so sad. But there's no reason for me to be upset and sad. Anyway I hope you can find a treatment and feel better soon. Keep ya chin up. Sending best wishes.

Thank you for sharing something so personal. There is no need to apologise. I find I apologise too often and someone helped me realise that by apologising I am reaffirming my negative self talk. There is a time to apologise when we have truly done something wrong. But feeling your emotion and being honest is not one of those times. I have had the hormonal rollercoasters too and it‘a lonely. But please know you are not alone. I had Adenomyosis which created heavy periods and excessive bleeding and my mood swings were horrendous. So I had a hysterectomy which really made a difference. But I had one ovary left which means I am now experiencing the mood swings again due to menopause! It’s not easy being a woman but you are doing great 🥰

Aww don't beat yourself up ❤ Hormones can be a drag and get us down or angry ... I've experienced this for the first 3 months of pregnancy and one of my daughters has a really hard time with all that 😢. Everytime she goes to the doctor they suggest the pill (which she tried but she got worse). I dont think doctors really know much about womens problems! Negative comments are a given on the internet but most people forget about them after they make them so don't worry (easy to say I know). I probably said something about shopping with Temu (I actually can't remember). But my daughters shop with Shein occasionally and we have discussions about it. Its not the end of the World ... I'm a hypocrite a lot of the time truth be told. Look after yourself and thank you for sharing... it makes us feel more normal 😊

Juliette!! So sorry you have to deal with this. I have had this throughout my whole adult life. I’ve wondered if it is PMDD but got fed up of going to the doctors. They would just say stressed/depressed but I knew I’m not. I’ve really found changing my diet has helped so much- the hunter/gatherer diet has changed my health so much and my mood is more stable on it. I’m older than you so maybe things have changed- speak to your GP it’s got to be worth it. Also, I have done a lot of self help - a counselling course, learned about myself through the enneagram which is amazing at hello you understand yourself well it has been for me. The thing that I really identify with you is the sensitivity and the people pleasing and this last year that has changed from counselling and my life has changed. Not saying you need counselling but I have learned to get I. Touch with and name the feelings and sit with the feelings and accept them and that has worked wonders. Also going grain free has really helped with my energy levels and mood. Sounds mad I know but maybe these things could help you too. The main thing is that you are not alone ❤

I completely understand what you’re saying. I suffer terribly the same as you so please don’t feel alone in this. I’m sorry I don’t have any miracle answer. I wish I did, I would share it with you in a heartbeat. What I tend to do is spoil myself a bit, eat what I fancy and if I want to soak in the bath or watch Netflix in bed then I do it with no guilt allowed! I got the 5 minute journal from Amazon. Filling it in every day really helps me as it forces me to think of something I’m grateful for, a positive thought to end the day as well as identifying good and bad things that have happened that day. If I’m having a dark day mentally then it helps my brain go somewhere else. Hope this helps, sending so much love. Xx

Awww sweetheart, you are NOT and NEVER will be on your own. Anxiety, clinical depression, any mental problems are suffered by millions of people. It's very well documented and talked about. Please make an appointment with your doctor and DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER. YOU WILL get through this hunni. Just a thought have you tried Evening Primrose Oil, I found it helpful when I was in my middle 30's up to about age 49-50 when I had completed my Menopause. Holland and Barrett have a great range of supplements for women. It might be a good start to ask your doctor for a hormone level blood test, to see what your levels are. They are obviously not quite right as they as rollercostering and dipping up and down. I really wish I could help you more, I'd go with you to get things sorted, but please feel free to contact me if I can do anything at all. But for now I'll send you a virtual big hug and let you know all your KZbin family are, always. Lots of Love Debs xx chin up and smile 😃 xxxx

You don’t have to explain, because lots of people are experiencing your symptoms. Have you had tests to see if you’re menopausal or peri at least? Please do. Also find out if it’s possible that you could have PMDD….I’m not sure social media is what you should be worried about right now. I know a few people who’ve been helped if it is menopause related. Tell people if they don’t like the company you work with to go elsewhere. I buy what I like and I don’t care what anyone says. Again, I stress please see your doctor. Thanks for sharing.

Here are special blood tests that you can get done to let you know what's going on with hormones. Maybe it is a Vit B thing. I know in Ireland the regular blood tests with HSE does not include all blood test so you need to pay for this tests. Around 50 to 100 euros. It's worth a try. My daughter had it done and it is definitely worth it. Take no notice of the negative people. The menopause brings global depression that's why hrt is great. Good luck ❤

Juliette iv been through, well I'm still going through what you're going through, mine started when I was 38 and I'm now 63, some days I feel great just how you said and then other days I feel like I'm standing at the top of a black hole and I have to fight not to slip into it , the other thing I get ,and from what you said you also get, is a feeling of complete foreboding and that something has happened or is going to happen . All this is a sign of going into the menopause, that is what my doctor told me ,. So go to your doctor and explain how you feel , my doctor put me on citoapram and it really helped but it dose take time. Don't worry love it dose get easier and a lot of women will understand what you are going through. Good look with this part of life but please go to your doctor. Speak to you soon Julie. Xx

Hi Juliette You have no need to apologise to anybody. Please ignore if you get any negative comments. As women we all go through hormonal problems, once we reach a certain age. I can totally relate to you. I have suffered from panick attacks for years. It all started after the sudden death of a family member, who i loved very much. Ive been told that has what has triggered them. Panick attacks are really scary , you feel like your taking a heart attack. Unless you have suffered from them , you have no idea. Juliette , i can be the very same as you with your symptoms. Im also very sensitive like yourself. I have watched your channel for a very long time & never commented . But , i feel the need to reach out to you. You are a super mum with a lovely family . You can turn your hand to anything. You should be proud of yourself & everything you have achieved. You have did soo well with your channel. Believe you me , you actually sound the same as myself. As an ex nurse please dont be too hard on yourself. Maybe a wee trip to the doctors would help. You are soo down to earth & that is why your subscribers watch your channel. You.ll get their Juliette. I promise , give it some time Sending a hug to you. Take care Juliette. X

I struggle to believe all this actually happened . You are doing your best . Ive always done my very best too im like you i try my best and work hard . Please know you are great xxx ❤ love from Ireland. Ps my anxiety is from trauma losing my friend and now my sister so unwell. That's where my anxiety comes from now. Its eating me inside at times but i fake it for others to look normal. I now take magnesium too and the gym definitely helps me 4 times a week for sure x
