This was so interesting for me. I used to train hard six times a week and be full of energy and then Perimenopause hit and now I struggle so much with energy and motivation. Would love to see more videos around this 💪🏻💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you both for filming this ❤

I was going to comment about the same thing. Avid lifetime exerciser, i do/did something every day, but now my energy levels fluctuate daily & at least once a week/ fortnight im utterly poleaxed! What I did before to drop a few pounds no longer work as effectively, and oddly I get bad sugary carb cravings, even tho my overall diet is very good. I'm not doing bad but at 52 I can see significant changes that I'd like to tackle before they become too much! ❤

All the tips you both gave have really inspired me to keep going now I understand why I’ve been struggling. Thank you for the great content. I I wish Matt lots of luck with his online coaching business. I’m sure it will be a huge success with you behind him. Xx

Hi juliette can either you or matt help me pls 🙏 i managed to loose 4stone on my own by cutting out sweets, fizzy drinks , and crisps and curbing my snacking on an evening. I do intermittent fasting and do a high protein low carb diet . Im really struggling to loose the last 2stone, when i started my journey 19months ago i was 15stone and size 16 in clothes. Im now down to a size 12 and weigh 12stone 4lbs my GP has told me that for my height i should ideally be 10/ 10 and half stone. But like yourself and hubby said about menopause the visarale fat is hard to shift. I also have fibromyalga and my mobility some days are really bad " but" i do try and push myself to go for a 20/30min walk everyday i do walk through the pain. Should i be trying a different approach with diet? I portion size as im not a big eater anyway. Many thanks and loved this video❤😊

👍🏼👍🏼 This is great. I'm 39 and have been training for 10 years now but I have always done my cardio first (because I dislike it the most) but I am definitely going to swap things around now, I've never been given that tip before. Thanks both x

Thank you so much for that Juliette and Matt, some very interesting points discussed. I especially liked the tip of doing weights before cardio, I’ve always done it the other way round but will swap it now and see if it makes a difference for me. And I need to do more resistance training than I’ve done in the past. Thanks for once again inspiring me to push myself harder and stay focused 🙏🏻💖

Juliette and Matt !!!!! lovely to see you two and watch your very interesting video. Well........ I turned 60 :( I have never liked the gym - hate it all but I am FORCING myself as I now struggle to even stand up - always been fit but my legs just ache so bad lately. I want to be around 150 lbs - at minute I am 163 and I am 5' 7" which isn't that bad - I just feel age is really creeping up and I feel like I'm losing my mind lol lol. I do not eat a load of crap but I do not really eat to be honest. I had endometriosis all of my life - finally had a full hysterectomy 11 years ago.... hence the start of weight. No-one told me you can put on up to 50 lbs!! I also have sleep apnea for past 20 years and Ulcerative Pan Colitis the past 20 years too (aren't I lucky)????? I am lost on BMR?? whatever that is - I have no clue what to eat or what to do... all I can say is HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where do I start??? I am due a sleep study again on July 8th and I have the UC to a certain degree under control considering... but I feel listless and have always put everything off as I don't know where to begin and as my Mom tells me "you are no spring chicken"!! :( lol lol - any ideas. I have no idea what my calories are meant to be - I have NEVER had to really be bothered...... but now I want to do something. Strengthen my weary legs and clear my mind.

Hi pilates is really good and it's really a good workout. Also anything in water like just swimming or aqua aerobics might be good and easier on you? I also find that spin is still ok enough on the knees and a good workout, so if you can afford an indoor bike it may be a good investment. But I would try it first to see how your knees feel. I have a lot of pain in my joints due to hypermobility and being overweight so i get you very well..

@cristinabento1749 I would like to say to both of you I also suffer with fibromyalga and I go for a 30min walk everyday, I tried the aqua aerobics and it dint help very much to be honest but that doesn't mean it won't work for you. Try doing wall pilates at home. There's lots of videos out there to help you. I did a vegan diet for 8wks and I lost 3stone in weight and also cut out snacking " like crisps, sweets, fizzy drinks" fibromyalga or any debilitating pain is horrible. I uses to be 15stone and size 16 in clothes since cutting out certain stuff I'm now a size 12 in clothes, and now weigh 11 and half stone

Really enjoyed your video. Last year I followed a low carb high fat diet. I lost 4 stone and reversed T2 diabetes. I would add that while trying to reverse diabetes, fruits are not always the best option. I just feel this is not discussed enough. Also when you are insulin resistant the weight is very hard to shift. So it’s not always due to over eating in this instance. Juliette I just want to say that you look absolutely amazing and well done on your achievement.

Thank you so so much Jana, so lovely of you to say. Also well done 👍🏼 to lose that weight is an achievement in itself but to then reverse T2 diabetes 👏🏼 well blood my done! That’s incredible. Yes this is very true. I think everyone is different for so many reasons obviously yes calories in vs calories out will work for anyone but like you say when you have to focus on other things such as insulin then the type of foods you’re eating is extremely important too ❤️ thank you for mentioning that, it’s very appreciated ❤️ xxx

@BeingMrsDudley
@BeingMrsDudley Ай бұрын
I can’t really say “i recommend it”. One because I’m by no means qualified and secondly everyone is different. But for me it really has helped and been a great tool. If you do some research though and google fasting there are some great findings about how fasts can be really beneficial to your health and they also do help when eating in a calorie deficit as they reduce the window where you eat so I’ve found it has helped me. Lovely to see your husband Juliette. I have a question about false tan.Have you any advice to stop the dark spots appearing. Im 61.My skin is very good because i look after it.Howevet spots appear ( which are probably there anyway ). They just look obvious with false tan. I use the slow developing ones. I have to Im so pale,id scare the children. Thank you.❤
@AN-kb4iz
@AN-kb4iz 3 ай бұрын
Hi I’m a beauty therapist and hope I can help. False tan will look darker on areas That are already dark so maybe try a putting a richer moisturiser on the darker areas to act as more of a barrier to prevent the tan from being concentrated in the darker parts. Also make sure you prep your skin well before false tan by exfoliating everywhere at least 24 hours before application concentrating on areas that can be drier and grab the tan ( elbows,ankles,knees ) and then moisturise well. This makes the skin more even as dead skin cells are removed and hydrated, well prepared skin makes tan looks more even ,it lasts longer and fades better too. Once your tan has developed moisturise your skin daily to keep it hydrated as both false and real tan can dry the skin. Always wear spf 50 when exposing the skin outside even in winter to prevent dark spots getting darker and to protect you skin from harmful uv rays.
