Saw this movie as a young sailor in Norfolk in 1981 and have loved it ever since, including the wonderful soundtrack. One of my Top 10 movies of all time. RIP, Powers Boothe.

...I remember long ago, when it first came out on the theaters, (1981!) i caught a bus to the next town to see it. No computers in those days, still remember exiting the movie theater very well content on this movie. How time flies, so strange.
