EXCLUSIVE! : Coney Island Bound R160A-2 Coupled With R160B Siemens Cars On The N Line @ 34th Street

Seen here is an exclusive video of R160A-2 8663-8667 coupled with Siemens Propulsion R160Bs 9043-9047 arriving and departing from 34th Street - Herald Square.
This was coupled together as a compatibility and flexibility test to see how well they would run with each other. The first test was with 8833-8837 coupled with 8848-8852.

I operated a mix like that one a few years back. My operating north cars were Alstom propelled,the south unit were siemens. For some reason I didn't notice it on the TOD but only when I got it to Ditmars. I did noticed that it stopped uncharacteristically rough for an Alstom and it was my last interval of the day.

9047-9043 was re-atttached to another set of R160B 5 cars and 8667-8663 was re-attached to another 5 set of R160A-2 cars

@Wayside25 the difference is the propulsion sounds they make, car numbers and manufacturer. r160a is made by alstom and r160b is made by kawasaki.

Pretty much its R160Bs from the normal coney island yard with R160A-2s from the jamaica line
