An amazing night sighting of the New Delhi - Rani Kamlapati Vande Bharat Express COCR Trial run as the 16 coacher train hammers past Faridabad New Town station at flat 160 km/hr speed. Cherish the majestic track sounds of the speeding Vande Bharat Express trial run as it hits the point at full notch while lightening up the night sky with terrific sparking show.
During this trial run, I happen to have a railfan meet up with all the biggies from Delhi region with the likes of Tarun Tyagi, Jaskaran Singh, Vivek Parashar, Jitu RF, Tushar Kumar, Tarun Choubey, Sateesh Maurya in attendance. We all had a great time waiting for this trial run along with cherishing this rare moment of the 160 km/hr speed show of the COCR trial of Vande Bharat Express.

The sparks are not a good thing. You will not see that in European high speed train tracks. It shows maintenance required in overhead wires and tracks.

If we get the tracks absolutely aligned and fine tuned properly we can pretty much build and run trains at 200+ kmph on the same infrastructure. This means that the existing legacy trains and relatively high/middle speed trains can run on the same lines. But we have to then implement proper fencing of the entire route by providing periodic underpasses. There can not be any trespassing. Also need to implement better fail proof multilevel automated safety protocols.

@@rishabhkhairwar no brother agar 160 pe daud rahi hai to track is well equipped upto 176 since jab iss track pe pehli baar 160 ka trail hua hoga 10 saal pehle to 160 ke liye extra 10% capacity chayiye hoti hai. 160 pe extra 10% is 176. Similarly 130 ke track ka trial 143 pe hota hai.

Our current locos P5, P7 can run at top speed of 200+ , but due to poor tracks we are limited to very low speeds . But railway is just focusing on VB for just publicity . RRTS has top speed of 160-180 and IR is capable of 200+ with old locos and we are calling this new train with relatively slow speed with its infa a semi bullet train . It is no way near a bullet train , even it is comparable to normal train .
